Yes, probably one of the best locations for a SC I have seen in a long time. Ideal for people from central and upper Oregon to drive south to visit Crater Lake.

This is a really good location. It has decent access from both directions on the highway and is relatively close to the airport. Downside, not a lot a shopping or dining option for travelers.

I drove by this location last month and saw no visible indication of any work started.

The two chargers at the Service Center are going to be reserved for vehicles in service only.

I just got my Model S retrofitted today. First one in Central Oregon actually. After the install, I drove to the nearest Electrify America station and with a 30% SoC, I got 114 Kw charging rate. After 5 minutes, I stopped, then drove to the Tesla Supercharger station to finish the session.

What??? (Ghast in surprise). And given Redmond is going to get one too, I think Prineville would be the next logical choice for a SC.

@Ml007 This will defiantly help out. Last year, I stopped by Hillsboro charger, and it was completely packed. Clackamas is going to be a good location too when it opens.

I would bet it will be located at Fred Myers.

Finally a SC in Maui! Great location too, near the airport. Now smaller locations in Kaanapali, Wailea, and Hana would complete the island.

Yeah, but given its right across the street, shouldn't be that difficult to charge and still shop at Freddys :)

I've been to a lot of hotels that had HPWC, but the max I have seen is 5. Although, I bet a quick call to the hotel manager could clear things up.

This is a really bad location for expansion. First, its within 2 miles of the existing one. Super high traffic area (due to old mill and downtown). Its a lot better than when I posted that. Back then, the "Find Us / Coming soon" map was not interactive and was just a smaller map with dots without any target indication or location name. So we had to look at the map and "guess" which city or location the SC was going to be built at.

Actually a really good location. Once in a while I hit the IKEA and now can double up here to remove one SC from my trip.

Charged here over the weekend. The station was limiting charge to about 70kW. In addition, while I was charging, station 1 completely died. To make matters worse, more and more cars showed up to charge, and there was a wait of around 3-4 vehicles for a good part of the day.

This would be another Oregon location that is not marked on the Tesla.com/FindUs map.

Coos Bay was also one of the first locations of the 50 Kw CHAdeMO sites at the Fred Meyers. I used this charger a few times back in 2015 and 2016 when doing coastal trips. So having a smaller site would be fine for people who don't want to be limited to only the Bandon charger with its small...

Who suggested one or two stalls should be installed at a station?

Within 5 miles of an existing SC... and yet there are places in rural Washington, Oregon and Idaho, that a single station would be a huge benefit. For example, Walla Walla, Eatonville, Corvallis/Albany, Lewiston. (I hope this is not the case).

This is by far one of the least needed locations. There are so many other places in Washington state that would benefit from heaving a 8 stall SC. I am thinking places like Wilbur or Walla Walla. But within the buffer zone of an existing SC? Sure, RV is only 4, so expanding that one would have...

The service center is Bend is almost complete. Its located across from the DMV on 97.

Yeah, I trust @PLUS EV intuition on this. I think this is a planned second site in Hood River because the first site was limited to 8 stalls and 12+ were deemed necessary for these types of routes. I have seen a few sites in CA do similar things when an existing site can't be expanded.

@Guvnah Probably the other side, if they are going to not redo current parking spaces. Those spaces (2 of which are designated handicapped), are directly in front of Dominos, which would want spaces for their customers.

I think the most important location now is Albany. Because right now, you can't drive to Corvallis and the back to Bend without charging somewhere. And then, a second SC in Bend, such as north side at the Target; this is because the current state of the older SC is starting to get too congested.

Finally!! @BlueShift So I think this location is in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet, similar to the location in Burns.

Actual miles yes. I was talking in terms of battery miles (the number I use to calculate range + buffer), i.e. when I leave Bend Supercharger with about 260~ miles. I tend to get to K. Falls charger with around 40-60~ depending.

For 97, a SC located at the intersection of OR 138 (turn off to crater lake) would be ideal. Its about 100 north of K. Falls, and 120 south of Bend. If not, then a little north to Chemult. But I envision a lot of people traveling to Crater Lake, so having a SC at the turn off would be really...

After 2 years of waiting, Tesla upgraded my 2017 Model S from HW 2.0 to HW 3.0!

I have a Model S 90D with AP2.0 and FSD purchased. Tesla just contacted me to schedule upgrade for "FSD". I asked about MCU, and was told that only the AP DAS would be upgraded. The MCU will not be, unless I pay the additional $2,500.

Tesla is going to put a Supercharger at Burns to cover most Eastern Oregon routes. Winnemucca to Boise via Supercharger is 250 miles, which is doable with Model 3 LR (technically MR, but I wouldn't chance it), Model X and Model S would be easy.

Sites like this are why Tesla will win in the end. They invest in locations that are rarely used, but are necessary for "full coverage". No other company would put chargers in the least populated places.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the fact that this is a paid parking lot (and expensive!), that adding $9 to the cost of a SC session would likely make this one of the first SC to avoid?

My JAN 2017 90D range was 294 miles at 10K (almost 2 years of ownership). My 2015 85D with 45K miles on it was 260 (3 years). So it appears the newer cell design in the 90D is lasting much better than my old 85D. S85D at 45K S90D at 10K

Have they started to take out the chargers and replace it with asphalt and make the area look like it was back in 2017 yet?

The one HUGE disappointment I have with this location is after they changed spots in the mall, they no longer carry merchandise inventory. I used to go out of my way to stop here and by a T-Shirt or something, but now I have no reason to go inside the store :-(
