You should've fought with ur delivery advisor with the referral program page including the fine print: Referral Program nowhere in the rule excludes anything like a new Model 3 order.

yes, I'm scheduled this Saturday to bring back the model 3 with 2*$750 tesla credit applied to the order. The credit will save u some tax as well. Try start as early as possible to talk to your delivery store to apply the tesla credit.

well, the referral page doesn't exclude anything for using the credit. in my case, tesla has no problem for me to use the credits in my M3 order but just couldn't figure out a way to do that...

Shygar, I was trying to do the same at Dedham MA tesla store. Told my delivery specialist that I want to use 3*750 tesla credit on Aug. 1, and the delivery on Aug. 25 failed because they couldn't apply the credits. Of course in your case Fremont is closer to tesla HQ but it's dumb they haven't...

I read again David Nolan's article. My math should consider also the new battery shipping and tax, which was ~3500 in David's case, including labor. So now it comes down to how much value remains in the old 70kwh battery. David's 60kwh battery got a 80% discount rate after one year. Anyway...
