Range on 12v battery without support from the HV battery

Hi Alan, I went into service mode today and looked at the alerts and other stuff. Among the active alerts, I have: HVP_w021_PyroMiaFault and on the HV tab/page, in the HV Battery box it says: RedDot: State: Fault GreenDot: Charge 62.3% GreenDot: HVIL RedDot: Pyro Fuse and the Contactors are...

Range on 12v battery without support from the HV battery

Hi Alan Thanks again for the info. I disconnected the 12v battery and charged it last night. It seems to be behaving OK. Voltage is stable at 13V off the charger with no load. I connected the 12v battery back up and powered on the car. The 12v battery is holding stable at 12.6V with the load...

Range on 12v battery without support from the HV battery

Alan, Thanks for that very helpful post. If there is a problem with the support/charging of the 12v system from the high voltage system, then I'm not sure I would actually be able to drive the car without a 12v battery, since the 12v coming from the HV system may not be present. As you said, my...

Range on 12v battery without support from the HV battery

I charged the 12v battery to 13v last night, and this morning it is down to 9v already. The car is powered down. So something is drawing a lot of power. Is that kind of power drain normal? Even with the car powered down? Tesla said there was a fault in the 12v charging circuit, and I got...

Range on 12v battery without support from the HV battery

The 12v battery in my 2018 M3 LR RWD just went dead. It was replaced September 2022. Apparently the 12v battery is NOT being charged from the HV battery. So, if I put a full charge on the 12v battery, how far can I go before the 12v is completely drained and the car dies?

    Sound Deadening Model 3

i have a Model 3 LR (32644) with the aero 18" wheels delivered June 2018 and cabin noise (mostly tire noise I believe) is my only complaint. I don't have much more to add but am following this thread closely with great interest. I would very much like to see comparisons of cabin noise levels...

Model 3 TPMS sensors are junk

Hi GregD60, i wondered the same thing, but after thinking about it for a minute, i concluded that it is indeed the differential pressure between the tire and the ambient atmosphere that determines the net outward pressure (force per unit area) on the tire due to inflation, and thus the amount of...

    Order estimate pushed back

Invite 4/13 Configured 4/18 (late in day), blue, 18" w/AP and AD Delayed until July For me this is OK, as I am traveling a lot starting June 9 and was afraid my delivery would be scheduled while I was away. I agree with the theory that they are managing to deliver as many cars as they can up to...

    Rip vin p01653

Todd, thanks so much for responding, and providing that additional info about the roof structure. One last question. Do you think there is a chance that the battery was damaged, or even subjected to superficial damage in the accident. What I am thinking about is that you said the right rear...

    Rip vin p01653

Thanks for the reply. Is there a chance that Tesla would not reactivate the car if they think the damage was too significant? What can you not do with the car if it is not reactivated? Can you charge it (regular, not supercharge)? Can you drive it?

    Rip vin p01653

Can p01653 be made road worthy again? Can someone explain what a UMC is and the significance? I also saw p01653 listed on ebay, relatively close to me (250 miles), and was intrigued. I googled the VIN and eventually ended up on this thread. There was some allusion in the thread about Tesla...
