Well, its now been six months, so I called ThunderHill for another update. I'm not sure where the possibly dated 'Transformer / PG&E' info came from, but... As of today Feb 1, the superchargers have power and Tesla is performing final checkouts!

On the app, the Home page shows whether the vehicle is parked or moving, and its Speed. The Location page shows Where the vehicle is on a moving map. I want to be able to see Both at the same time, adding the Speed info to the Location map.

Supercharger - Willows, CA - Thunderhill Raceway (LIVE 21 Feb 2024, limited access)

Well, its been two months, so I called ThunderHill for an update. Sadly the update is No Update, they are in PG&E / Tesla limbo. Back in August I had hoped it would be live by Oct 5 for the final SCCA TNIA track day of the year.

I stopped by today, Thurs 8/24, and while the concrete entrance is still not poured, I was told there is a strong goal to have it in service for Labor Day weekend.

Supercharger - Willows, CA - Thunderhill Raceway (LIVE 21 Feb 2024, limited access)

I also saw the FB post and went to supercharge.info looking for it. When I didn't see it I tried to look up Laguna Seca and it isn't there either. My guess is that they don't want to show superchargers at racetracks that are behind gates and not available to the public 24/7. Note that the...

Early drone shot when we 'only' had a few more cars than chargers I believe this drone photo was taken by Deepak Amiraddy, the owner of the lot the superchargers are on.

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

I looked up the property. Between Taco Bell and Starbucks are two fairly equal size lots. The currently paved area covers the West lot, 116 Clover Leaf Loop. This picture is the East lot towards Starbucks.

    Supercharger - Sutherlin, OR

The first 3 photos are the West - Taco Bell half. The 4th photo is the East - Starbucks side . There is a large mud area between the East chargers and Starbucks, I don't know who owns it.

FSD is unavailable now due to error in defeat device detected

Searched TMC as soon as I got home from a 1000 mile trip to California and back. I got 3 strikes for non existent defeat device. It's hard to "Remove defeat device" when it is your left hand holding the wheel at about 8:30. Looks like I'm not alone. FSD 2022.44.30.5, M3p, steering set to Sport.

    Supercharger - Medford, OR

Medford will be nice. As others have mentioned, it's a turn off for Crater Lake and Bend, also Jacksonville wine country. Last time I was at Grants Pass there was a line of five cars and (or because of) slow charging speeds. No one has mentioned that the second longest gap on I5 to Mt Shasta...

    Update 40.50.7 major problem

50.1 seemed ok, I opened the glovebox by voice command, but starting on Jan 2 with 50.?=<7 the phone started randomly calling people when you open the door, Very Embarrassing! I was hoping 50.7 would fix it but No. Now, even worse, neither my Android nor my wife's Apple phones can connect to our...

    Please remove "Preconditioning battery" message

For me the "important message" that gets covered up is the Autopilot nag warning, which is way more important than Preconditioning. When an UI displays multiple messages in a single space, there has to be a Z axis prioritization that forces the most important message to the top, overwriting low...

    Another DUI on Autopilot

This incident does illustrate the question, What does / should autopilot do when emergency flashing lights from the CHP or an ambulance are behind you? Based on this story the answer seems to be ignore them. Perhaps because the options are difficult. Should it disengage even if the driver is in...

Tesla Meeting with the Federal Trade Commission (Request for Comment)

This is my first post ever. I saw the first Roadster prototype and met JB and Martin in the summer of 2006. I have been lurking on this site for a Decade. What got me to register tonight, after being tempted to join for the last 10 years? Tonight, Feb 16, I added to the FTC comments and was...
