There was an X on display. It it had everything open, so it was hard to see it's shape clearly. So, I looked it up online and I think you are right. When I see it with the gill wing doors closed, it looks entirely different. It was an X not a 3. Apologies for the false alarm.

I was in Princeton, NJ last weekend. There was a Tesla display set up in a car park on Witherspoon, where they were showing a Model S and a Model X. However, I also saw two Model 3 on the street, driving in town. Don't tell it was an S, I drive an S. It looked like an S but smaller and shorter.
