I put the order in yesterday - I decided to wait on FSD as who knows when it will arrive and what it will cost - It think advanced summon is in the uk already but not motorway interchanges. If you order it later its all just a s/w update - unless by then Tesla have decided you need a h/w upgrade...

I got a confirmation email within about 15 minutes - it didnt really say anything, no RN number or anything ( not a current Tesla owner ) - just a thankyou email and the standard agreement attached.

Well, I went to Tesla Shepherds Bush and did my deposit there. Tthe guy said he reckoned they had taken 40-45 orders by lunchtime and a lot of people ordering 2. He urged me in the meantime to test drive a model S so that should keep me amused till 2018!

After they phoned the Birmingham store what did they say? I got an email from Tesla Motors which was just a repeat of the story that you can go into "any store" so I phoned Oxford street and they said "Any store in the UK apart from us".

I'm thoroughly confused. What time will they take reservations? and is the Oxford outlet a "store"/"gallery", so they will/won't take reservations there. Sure all will become clear with time.

Yes I see that it has a link to your "closest tesla store" which of course shows oxford street - So i think I'm going to wander up anyway and see what happens.

The Oxford street store says they still haven't heard either way about taking deposits - In fact the guy said they mostly work out whats going on by "following Elon on Twitter", which I thought was quite funny. My guess is no central london reservations possible. Odd when you think it was...

It sounds like, and I might be reading too much into it, Tesla aren't really that bothered.

I went to the Oxford St store about 2 weeks ago and asked them if registrations would be taken in the UK Mar 31 - they said "no one had told them anything" but would take my number. Didnt hear anything (yet?). Im tempted to wander up anyway as 5-6pm would seem to be about the right time but...
