Total stab in the dark, I’m gonna say it’s a conversion kit for existing SC to gain dual cables for Tesla and non-Tesla charging. If it’s a snap on type sheath over and existing pedestal it sure would be a cheap and fast way to retrofit any existing site.

Site now shows all 8 stalls available - had previously been showing only 4 stalls at all hours.

We’re in the final stretch - transformer is powered on and meter installed. No power to any of the stalls yet so we might not get a stealth supercharger while we wait for Tesla to commission it. I’ll keep checking in each day. Tested a few stalls with no result this evening.

Connected to the pole as of last night, i had noticed a cherry picker there in the morning. Strange looking connection. No meter yet = no power to the stalls. I’ll keep checking.

Fences are gone but still not connected to the pole.

Based on the amount of high voltage cable they’re working with just to connect it, I wouldn’t be surprised if goes up one pole and strung along down to the new pole pictured earlier in this thread. When I talked to the contractors on day 1 they were surprised and unaware that the next pole down...

A little movement yesterday - more work has been done to connect the site to the pole. Trucks are there now working on the connection but no meter as of yet.

Not sure what the delay is here. No activity in quite some time.

Both light poles are now up (Led) and the missing bollard are in place. The bollards are removable since the cabinets open in that direction and need clearance. Thought that was kinda cool. Site still doesn't look connected to the pole though. We’re now just waiting on a meter and connection so...

There have been eltricians out here a couple times this week but no visible changes and fences are still up.

I actually hopped out and shoveled a bit of that first space out by the dumpster. Two stalls were down from the storm because ice had frozen inside the handle - first time I could recall encountering something about a super charger that really felt like a design flaw. Designed in California...

Looks the utility was out to work on connecting the site to the pole. Some new pipes and wiring present from the old exit of the trench leading up the side of the pole and another connection near the cabinets. No meter yet and fences are still up.

Finally some action at the site this morning. I’ll take a peek late tonight to see what was completed.

Finally some action! Transformer must have gone in Thursday or Friday last week. Still waiting on a meter, 2 light poles, and a couple missing bollards to protect the cabinets.

I’m up here now skiing Stowe - but a bit far from town. Brought my mobile charger to the rental and that has worked out thus far. Turn red off sentry and I’ve been doing ok for range - not perfect but doable.

Still nothing. Im out of town for a few days and not holding my breath for a quick turnaround here.

I’ve still been checking this out pretty much everyday. I’ll post an update once the transformer arrives.

Still no updates here this week - seems like we’re waiting on a transformer install.

Site has been cleaned up a bit and fresh pavement has now sealed up the trench. Other than that no visible changes over the last week or so.

Woo! Might actually be able to use this for ski season. Making it to wildcat has always been a little risky for me range wise.

That’s not a bad theory. Also could be that since it isn’t commissioned the handshake protocol isn’t live and the pedestal just blindly provides power? Sort of like when a new SC is powered up but not official and you can charge there without being billed.

Looking good! Some items still to be done: transformer, meter, pave over trench and install the two street lights.

Pedestals are all closed up and cabinets have been moved onto the pad. Looks like we’re on target for a Christmas present!

As of Wednesday night.

Cement truck was there this morning. Pad for the cabinets is in (still need to pour one for the transformer). I’d guess we’ll see pedestal installs starting tomorrow.

Concrete is all poured for the pedestals/bollards/streetlights now. Trench work continues.

Rebar for the pedestal bases is in. Cement for the bollards and what looks like two street lights is in as well. I think we’ll have Tesla charging signs at this location based on the posts being setup in the concrete.

Grounding wires are in and rope ties in each pipe to pull cables. Rebar and bollards have also arrived and waiting to be installed.

Conduit pipes are all in. Two on the bottom cemented into place from the pole to transformer location. Pipes from cabinets out to each stall run back across the top of the same trench. Some sand fill going in as construction progresses. Interesting the way the conduit is getting from the trench...

Turns out the trench has actually been done this whole time even though it only look half excavated. It terminates amongst the pedestal row to a utility pole. Conduit pipe is in place.

Not much has changed over the last week. Couple more cabinets were dropped off today or yesterday. Site looks the same though.

Forms for pedestals are in place. Didn’t see any other big changes tonight.

Trench is cut and mostly excavated. No cabinets etc on site yet. I found the template for organizing the conduit coming into the cabinets kind of interesting. I wonder if Tesla supplies this as a part of their efforts to streamline SC construction? Looks like the team made a plywood copy of it.

Clearing more trees and existing fences today. Storage container on site but no cabinets or pedestals yet. I would guess once the clearing of shrubs is done the next step would be cutting the trench. Cabinet/transformer area has been dug out.

Bingo. New England Electrical Contracting Co. on-site today to begin construction. Fences up and cleared the tree and brush from the corner with paint down to map cabinets and transformer location. Crew thinks they will be working here till Christmas. They had a good laugh that I showed up on...

Tiny hint of something with some digsafe markings in the southwest corner of the lot behind the loading docks. Not sure what the permit says for exact location, so this could be nothing.

Yes the EV is actually part of your plate number. I foolishly made this mistake in a parking app and got a ticket, thankfully Cambridge was lenient of my misunderstanding and tossed it.

Was hanging out on Mashnee after the sail tore off during Camden Classic. Wasn’t too bad as Lyman Morse marina has a handful of Tesla wall connectors. But agreed - SC should be located outside of town to avoid summer traffic if possible.
