It's 7:51 a.m. on 9/23 and 8.0 has been downloaded on my S w/o incident. I haven't had the time to examine it closely yet or even drive the car but strange that it wants me to sign in to Slacker. Also, looks like TuneIn has made its first appearance but it too wants me to sign in.

Sorry, with all the excitement about 8.0 I just assumed Tesla was rolling it out early.

Update 8.0 is available since early this (9/19) morning. Will wait until I hear other's experience downloading and using it first. If there's a Forum for 8.0 experiences, kindly let me know.

Thanks Bonaire - good info. I'm on the reserved list for a Model 3 and intend to trade my 2017 S 60D in on the 3 when they get to me on the list as the 3 is more my size car.

Does anyone think the re-introduction of the Models S 60 and 60D caused a big influx of orders which is what may be slowing production down for some?

I sincerely hope that's the case for everyone on the short list!

No, my Leaf won't make it to Charlotte so they'll be bringing the S to me on a truck and taking away the Leaf. Very nice of them. I arranged it before I placed my order for the S.
