Could be. For what it's worth, prior to getting Pie (v9) it was consistently bad for me and I really just relied on my key card most of the time.

Which version of Android was running on your LG xCharge before you switched? I wonder if maybe some of the Bluetooth stack updates in later versions of Android (I'm on Pie) are actually helping?
