I logged in today to schedule my delivery appointment and noticed the VIN afterwards. It was not there a few days ago.

I just got the "Your Model S is in transit and ready to be scheduled!" text. Scheduled delivery for 11/25.

No VIN. Just a reminder to complete the delivery checklist.

Just received a text from Tesla: "Your vehicle will be delivering within the next few weeks" Don't know what that means. But surely they are aware of the expiring rebate and know it is in their best interest to get these cars delivered by then.

I purchased my vehicle on the Tesla website on 9/22. The Tesla website by default applies a $2500 discount to the purchase price based on the California incentive (in addition to a federal credit of $1875 and gas savings of $5500). That incentive is still being promoted on the site today.

The currently advertised price listed on the Tesla website still includes the $2500 rebate as an incentive. If there is no rebate, they should not be promoting it as part of their advertised price. It is misleading to consumers.

I don't have an issue with California changing their incentive program. But a bunch of people ordered Model S's and Model X's in September and October. They were sold on Teslas with the understanding that they would be receiving a $2500 rebate. These people were told by Tesla to expect...

He told me that all new production is being shifted to fulfill overseas orders. If you look at the delivery thread on the Model 3 forum, there are multiple people confirming the same thing. He gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks out but, to be honest with you, I don't think they are well informed...

Just spoke with the delivery rep on the phone today. He confirmed the wait is 4-6 weeks from today. Asked about switching to an inventory or used LR Model S, and they are sold out all over. I am bummed out. Guess this qualifies as a first world problem.

I don't have a VIN yet on my Tesla account dashboard. Though they were thoughtful enough to assign me one for the sake of selling me my Tesla insurance policy active 9/29. I figured they were trying to sell through some of their excess inventory to tidy their books.
