Interesting. I saw a new inventory previous to the one I did end up buying in Bay area & Tesla Rep said it was not transferable to Phoenix & could not be picked up direct. Also, after ordering, the DS rep told me I could not pick up current Tesla in Colorado; it had to be shipped to Phoenix...

I have a feeling I will be in the same boat as you. This is a totally new experience for me as I have only ever purchased cars straight from dealership lots & driven away same day in most every case! Unfortunately, I really want a Tesla so it is what it is; all other aspects were stress free...

Did you have to take receipt and pay for the car prior to this or are you pending receipt until car is 100%? I would hate to pluck down nearly $100K just to take ownership & see my car before it heads off to body shop! :-/
