2017 Investor Roundtable: TSLA Market Action

Thanks Gerardf - I'm sitting tight and I'll make up my mind if I've made the right call in 5+ years :-) The question I'm struggling with at the moment is how much of my pension I want to bet on Tesla... I'm tempted to buy more... I guess the answer to that question is 'however much could I...

2017 Investor Roundtable: TSLA Market Action

I'm 37 years old and I've never owned a share in anything (other than my own business)... until today when I bought a few shares in Tesla to go with my factory Model S that's being delivered on Thursday (needless to say I'm super excited!) Until Friday I didn't even understand what short...

Fleet services today - looking close! Lord knows the south east could use some Supercharger love. Cobham services on M25 would be awesome...

    BTX8 battery-code on a 75D... or is it a 85D

My S75 was confirmed on the 31st August. It's got APH3, BTX5 and BR00. It was due to deliver Late November prior to being confirmed. The day it was confirmed this drifted to 'December/Early January'

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Thanks for all the thoughts and feedback guys - this is a great community :-) Just decided with 2 hours to go... 75 confirmed! At 3pm this afternoon I was going AWD, but decided to be sensible in the end. RWD will still be a ridiculously cool car. Roll on November!

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments. I'm gonna go with the 75 I think, based on this: 1 - A quieter ride has some appeal to me (which is main reason I didn't go for 21" wheels) 1 - It's still WAY faster than the Mercedes I'm driving now! 2 - I've never had a 4WD car anyway 3 - I'll...

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Hmm, all sound advice, thanks. Leaning towards the non-D version I think. Gotta dash - being nagged to go to bed and I need to keep my wife in a good mood for when she finds out how much cash a I just dropped on a car! Ha! Thanks again :-)

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

All of the ranges are larger on the UK website? Didn't know UK miles were shorter than US miles! ;-p

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Strange - here's what I'm seeing on the UK website... 6 mile difference in range isn't worth £4,700! The range is up about 40 miles on what you found on the US website too. Confused... But also happy - as it looks like I have good options!

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Nope, it's a custom order. It's actually a 75D that's currently on my order and my understanding is that I have a week to change it. But the sales guy didn't say anything about not being able to do order a 75. What makes you think they're gone from custom orders? I'm not 100% but I think it was...

    Have a week to decide - 75 or 75D?!

Hi all Super excited to have just ordered a Model S 75 this afternoon (midnight silver/premium//autopilot/white/dark ash/sunroof/19" grey wheels), but I can't make up my mind if I want to pony up the extra cash for the D variant. Seems there's a negligible difference in straight line...

Post Brexit Price Increase Due 1st October?

All valid points, thanks for your input. One of the other factors that I hadn't mentioned is that I'm currently in a lease agreement that would have cost me around £5k to get out of. So the sensible thing to do is wait another 18 months until that lease is up and review the situation. It's...

Post Brexit Price Increase Due 1st October?

I'm wouldn't be comfortable asking my clients to charge my car at their house. I'm sure some of them would feel a bit put-out, even if they might not actually say it and making my clients feel uncomfortable is the opposite of what I spend my life doing! ;-) And for me, changing my driving style...

Post Brexit Price Increase Due 1st October?

Thanks Tanflado. As for charging - I have 3 phase power at my office but my business designs, installs and supports home technology systems (cinema, lighting, audio, Wi-Fi, etc) which means I cover approx 15k miles a year. Today I'm at the office all day, but Tuesday-Thursday I'm working in...

Post Brexit Price Increase Due 1st October?

Hi all New to forum... I've been considering buying a new Model S 75 and my local showroom said today that there is a significant price increase coming on the 1st October, owing to the post Brexit $/£ exchange rate. This absolutely makes sense (my business buys mainly US product and we're...
