    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I was all set to pull the trigger this week on the LR, had no thought the M3P would come in 2k under that price with the tax credit. I felt like I had to commit. I hope I like those sport seats, I have meaty thighs... :) I find it funny it is giving me the "Earlier Pickup Available" since when...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

I couldn't wait any longer, I am taking this tax credit gawd dangit, its cheaper than the LR I was going to get anyway

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

That's what I am wondering, that would be a first. I was just about ready to pull the trigger on the M3LR yesterday, now I am seriously considering going M3P with that full tax credit on the hood... I am mostly concerned that I don't know what those seats feel like, and do not feel great...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

Sure, I get that. Like I said a few times, I am not arguing against that people should not feel frustrated or upset. I find it baffling that Tesla has not minimally reached out to white interior order holders and said "Look, we have an issue getting white out the door. If you want to stick with...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

What does the "E" in EDD stand for? Like @jjrandorin I understand being annoyed and upset if the thing I want to buy keeps getting delayed. I also was looking to get the white interior, but have waited to make my order altogether until I see these start rolling off the assembly line. Your...

    Washington State EV Infrastructure Funding

That is my issue as well as I work from home and drove 3.5k miles last year. I am happy to pay my share of road taxes, and even pay in to help with infrastructure, but it should be in line with my own participation/use.

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

I am not talking about the content of 1720 posts in this thread. You want to vent in a forum thread called "waiting room", go ahead. I am talking about what is being described in this thread as happening via text, email, and face to face interactions with actual people who have to deal with the...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

I agree, I think people in this thread have lost sight of that the "E" in "EDD" stands for. I would wager it is almost more of a hassle for Tesla to give any estimated delivery date with the amount of noise it generates to their staff.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

My guess is that may just be a software disable for now, or not turned on in the demo models, as it is well defined in the US owners manual: https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/model3/en_us/GUID-ADA05DFF-963D-477D-9A51-FA8C8F6429F1.html

    Supercharger question

It's only a mystery at these sites that have both V2 and V3 in the same location. Where that is not the case, it is listed in the car for the info about the site you are going to. In my opinion, the difference here is the gas pump states what product comes out of the nozzle not the speed in...

    Supercharger question

This is my understanding: V2 is slightly bigger cable and has a silver band connecting handle to cable, and V3 is slightly smaller cable with a black band connecting handle to cable.

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

Am I crazy for this being the first time I have seen anyone mention that there is a blind spot light in the passenger side? See @ 9:39: Back in September people noted it was only in the driver side, and the owners guide reflected that: At some point the owners guide was updated and it now...

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

Sure, and Cybertruck has that: The Cybertruck's Front Bumper Camera Washer in Action [Video] From a reduction in parts perspective, it could make sense for them to use the same setup, but who knows.

Model 3 Highland (US) Waiting room

Given the number of times they have "accidentally" released the wrong images/video that showed the M3 Highland having a front camera, I have to believe that the cars are ready to go with it, but don't have it for some reason, and they will make a retrofit path for the current buyers. Of course...

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I drove by today and it did look open, no tape or anything, but also no one charging and I dont have a Tesla so I could not verify.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Went by today and saw some slight differences. SCs still taped, but the cabinets are uncovered, and it seems they dug the trench up again and then refilled it?

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Yeah, I went by today around 3pm and there was no activity, but cabinets were still in plastic and the SCs were taped. I plan on ordering a Highland M3 when its released (assuming I dont hate it) so I will be excited to use this when I get a chance as its right on my way out of town when going...

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I didnt take any pics last weekend but there were lots of trucks with heavy equipment sitting across the stalls both Sat and Sun. The fence was down but it seemed like those were trucks of workers/inspectors maybe. I might be able to swing by this week.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I ended up getting to the site after @ricksroadsterX each week so I didnt share my pics as they had nothing to add. However I dont own a Tesla so I wont be able to confirm a first charge date. I can at least try to ICE it first... :)

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Yeah I had assumed they would as well. I will try to keep a weekly check in on this location.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Lots of work done since I was here last week. Trench is dug across the road and concrete pads are poured in some areas. It looks like it will be 5 SC on the building side, and 3 on the road side. They were actively working when I swing by around 11am, so only took the first photo which wasn't...

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

8 conduits means 8 stalls? or can they put more than 1 stalls wiring per conduit? I guess 8 would put it equal to the other SC.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I will stop by again either Friday or Saturday for some more images, leaning towards Sat so the workers dont think I am stalking them. I do not have a very stealthy car lol.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I hope that Tesla does some customization to the routing when navigating to this SC when this becomes operational. The first entrance is very close to the start of the turn lane, and traffic is often backed up at this intersection. Trying to take the first entrance will often be painful...

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I didn't get very close as workers were active and I didn't want them to feel creeped on with my photo taking, but there was active work on site. The area nearest to the building was having excavation work done.
  26. B

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Given the position in the lot, I wonder if these will be pull through stalls and not the normal "back in" stalls. That would be good for other car models charging as NACS/MagicDock continues to expand.

    Supercharger - Yakima, WA - E. Yakima Ave. (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I get that thought process, and this would serve the opposite traffic direction of I-82 compared to the existing location, it just seems odd to put them so close to each other.

Tesla experience living far from a Service Center

Thank you for this post Boiler. I have recently been considering an M3 and also live in Central WA, but south of you. My thoughts about the possibility of mobile ranger service had me searching here for stories from anyone in the same general area about having service done when all service...

9 (Additional!) New Superchargers Locations in WA

I am still fully in shock that they have plans to put Superchargers in Yakima, urban or not. As that is my hometown, that has been an issue for me in the past knowing that I really only had Ellensburg to get fast power from. Over the last few years some free low speed level 2 chargers have...

If it all goes wrong, what will we buy?

Where are you getting 11k from? 7.5k federal, but there is no direct credit in WA that I know of to make up the 3.5k left. Are you estimating that to be money saved by not paying tax on the first 35k of the car?

If it all goes wrong, what will we buy?

If I end up disliking what the final interior looks like, or that I am going to get hosed on cost for the configurations I am wanting, or for whatever reason I just am not feeling it anymore, I will probably do something drastic. Single with no kids, what time is better than now to lease a...

North Central Washington high amperage L2 Charging Project

Not this season, as I have no electric car (no car at all currently!) but I have a reservation for a Model 3 and I am originally from Eastern Washington, so I commute over quite frequently. I have never done the Cascade Loop before and your project has really drawn my eye to doing so once I have...

    Lease vs. Cash

That is a perspective that I find is not mentioned much in these types of discussions, and also where I find myself. I like to lease due to always having a warranty, lower monthly payments, and getting to scratch that itch of wanting something new every few years without having to take such an...

North Central Washington high amperage L2 Charging Project

Thank you for mentioning this, I had no idea Amazon Smile was a thing, so I set my account up to link to NCWEDD! I am sad to see they donate such a tiny percentage of what I spend (.5% only on selected items), but any amount is more than nothing I guess.

    Cadillac CT6 PHEV

I am looking at one of these for my mother to replace her ELR once it comes off lease. I wish I could get her to go full electric with a Tesla but the charging aspect is so far from her thought process and desire to learn something new these 30+ miles electric only cars are the best I can do...

    Northwest Tesla Auto Insurance

Though I do not have a Tesla yet, I switched to State Farm from Geico partially due to their estimated rates of coverage on a Model S for me (and also I now get Auto/Renter's/Life insurance for less than just Auto was costing me from Geico). Geico wanted 1600/6mo compared to the ~700/6mo State...
