I understand that. Probably the same reason I've only had one person take me up on my offer to drive my car (not that I offer it to many people.)

The tow is only free if you are under warranty. I would have had to pay $350 for the tow. With AAA it would have been free. AAA does allow you to request reimbursement if they are unable to fulfill their obligations and it meets their criteria. We are in the process of doing that now.

My hope would be that with production ramping up on the model 3's, they would allocate a certain percent maybe .01% to loaners. Considering there are 72 service centers that would give each service center roughly 7 new model 3's.

They offered me a rental from Enterprise. However not having my Tesla was just an inconvenience, not enough of one to accept the rental. But I would have enjoyed getting to experience a loaner that was in some way different from my Model S.

Huh I guess in this forum once posted there's no editing after the fact. I would replace the above text if I could. Max I don't expect to borrow anyone's personal car and I don't expect Tesla to lose money by letting me use a new car as a loaner. I would have liked to have a loaner available...

Thanks for the info davinci2017 hopefully the situation will get better. I hadn't heard that loaner availability was bad in general.

Are you trolling me? No I do not expect every loaner top be a new P100D but I have seen two others report that they received one as a loaner when their Tesla was in the service center. So I don't see where it is out of the realm of possibility. I would have at least liked to have any tesla...
