The repair was completed yesterday. replaced 3DUR, MOSFET HC 1120980-00-J. The noise/thump is gone --hurray!
on the motors, looks like LR and perf motor is the same?
Brand new MYP less than 150 miles driven. Thumping /clicking noise when accelerating from stop or when accelerator is released and the vehicle comes to a stop. No noise if the vehicle is already moving and accelerator is pressed /released. Service center able to reproduce the noise and is...
I am on the fence between the MY AWD 4680 vs LR...How is the ride /handling difference? i saw some videos where EM states structural pack should result in better handlign but wanted to see if anyone who has driven both was able to feel the difference and if that is worth being an early...
another color post sorry :)
I have a Red with White interior on order with 19" wheels. I saw a white with white interior, tints and black/grey wheels today and it looked stunning! Itching to change but can't make up my mind. anyone has these combos /post pictures please. thanks
thanks all . Bmah, thanks for the links and moving it to the right subforum. based om the f/b leaning towards taking the tesla :)
The move is part of relocation to bay area for a job--my family will still be in SoCal hence the option of either taking the tesla or leaving it here. Also it will...
thanks. Phtotocredit to my wife :)
Do we have to buy the chademo adapter or it comes standard in the model S kit?>
Also hoping to hear from folks who have used any of the superchargers in Socal/Nor Cal area recently while EV tripping on avaialbility/wait time ..
Hi All,
I am planning a San Diego To San Fransisco trip in the next couple of weeks and deciding whether to take my Ice or Model S 60. Would like to take model S but worried about charging on the trip given the congestion seen on superchargers specially based on my SD experience. Wanted to...
Calculate usable battery capacity based on rated miles values
per the above thread, 75 is actually 72.6 and SW limited 60 is 62.4, so 62.4/72.6 ~ 85% so it seems all is top limited--so routinely charging a 60 to 100% is OK??
"Haven't seen any specific %, but posts like this show in a video that the rated miles stays the same after the upgrade and charging starts to go from 60 to 75."
so it is top limited??
Now that the 60-->75 upgrade is $2K, seeing lot of folks upgrading on the forum. Can some expert list the steps and readings that someone who is planning to upgrade take and (data to report) before and after the upgrade that will help folks still staying on 60Kwh to ascertain whether the...
1. The local road Autoseer is not ready. Be very careful while using it. I tried it multiple times today and on 3 lanes road, the autosteer tends to take the car to the rightmost lane if you are in the middle lane. Luckily there was no one coming from behind. little scary
2. This a...
here are a bunch of videos i have taken with AP2 since Dec 31 initial release..Overall, very happy with TACC, and like autosteer but it does have some quirks and is WIP--need to be careful
Tesla Model S AP2.0 - YouTube
it better.. in the current form it is not very good.
cross posted this video on the other thread.
This time Ap2.0 with autosteer does not detect the car (blue volt) partially on the shoulder but clearly in front. unnerving as i was in two minds to take control, not knowing whether it had...
& here is another one. This time Ap2.0 with autosteer does not detect the car (blue volt) partially on the shoulder but clearly in front. unnerving as i was in two minds to take control, not knowing whether it had detected and but not displaying on on the dashboard or not detected at all...
two observations with the latest SW
two observations 1. Vehicles on the side lanes still not being shown on dash with (17.3.2) . (the truck @0.25 mark is seen on Dash after cutting in front) 2. Autopilot takes the exit no lead car in front, but has difficulty on the curve (warning shown on...
other than speed bump from 35 to 45mph for autosteer, any other new feature/change in the 17.3.2 compared to 2.50.185/201 (the release to the Cali1000 new years eve)
on the motorbike question, captured one in front yesterday. it shows it on the dash as a car and not a bike (on AP1 are motorbikes shows on the dash differently?) . It does try to follow it as the bike splits lane but looks like it is work in progress on AP2
here is another one with 2.50.201- Shows a motorbike being detected by tesla vision and shown as a car on the dash. it keeps disappearing from the dash as the bike moves to the left--it finally tracks the bike as it splits lane and goes ahead of the car in the front.
Looking at Wk's Data
75-->72.6
60-->62.4
Assuming 20% of the delta is bottom and 80% is on top, 2kWh on bottom adn 8kWh on top
so charging to 100% on 60 is 62.4/(72.6-2) =88% of 75, and charging to 95% on 60 is 62.4x95%(72.6-2)= ~84%.
Not sure how bad charging to 85-88% everyday is..Thoughts?
Did anyone from the 1000 (that got AP2 enabled with 2.50.185 12/31, 1/1) got updated to 2.52.120?
I was one of the first 1000 and only received 2.50.201
here is a latest Autosteer video with 2.50.201. With autosteer engaged, the car attempts to follow the lane markings to an exit (surprised me). top speed is still limited to 35mph
got updated to 2.50.201. same release notes as 2.50.185. For me cameras were calibrated on the .185
by driving ~16 miles :).. so not sure what new features this updates brings..
saw a similar issue while charging where the miles shown on the app where higher than rated. checked the car setting and i have set it to rated..(but even with ideal, i should not be seeing higher than 220 for S60 (assuming :270 wh/m). This is on android app
see my post
Range Shown on the...
I have a dec 2016 Model S60 and while Supercharging yesterday, noticed that the mobile app was showing a range higher than the EPA rated for S60. In my previous SC session, have always seen the charge rate to be < the EPA rated. [not sure which wh/mile number is used to calculate the range...
Hi DB2, how does your calculation change below now that it has come out that the 62 is actually 62.5kWh and 75 is 72.6kWh ..
Tesla Motors: PLEASE stop lying about specifications (60 to 75 upgrade)
Took delivery of my S60 last month and trying to figure what is safe level to charge to..
thanks..
