The tour is Interesting and great to see all the cars and the place itself which is huge, so if you are there it's worth doing although you don't see anything you haven't really seen on you tube. Re production, they made a huge point of the great paint job they give and how each car spends 5-6...

Actually on holiday in States at moment and spending last week with friend in San Mateo (15 mins from Freemont), so did Tesla factory tour. Was told (no secret anyway) by guide that cars spend approx 10-12 days being built so would guess your is built if it actually did go into production...

I was with Tesla Birmingham on Thursday and they advised that they have a few cars that "should" be going out on 17th Dec if all homologation of rhd vehicles is completed, that seemed to be all the delay at this end.. The lack of cars is at Fremont and another story.

Can't agree more. Think the feedback and general comms if buying a £5k Dacia Duster would be better than this. Worse thing is they obviously realise and seem to do bugger all in terms of improving the situation or apologising... Great product I hope but the arrogance that surrounds the brand is...

Took a test drive on Thursday in the RHD MX (to see if it would fit in my garage- planning permission form now underway!!!) and was speaking with sales guy re deliveries. Mines due March, and he's was fairly liberal but stated thinks big batch of em all going to arrive for March delivery...

Well based on the above, the fact that i live in the UK and my vin no was only provided yesterday (5th Dec 2016) along with status changed to "in factory production queue" (although Im not sure what it said before), i will not be expecting anything soon unfortunately..o_O

I'm at my Tesla branch on Thursday and have fed this back to them, as they initially advised me of the cheapness of the insurance !!!!! will see what they say but this is bloody expensive stuff. On the plus side, just got my vin no, better start saving.:confused:

Good points Kincaid although in absence of a clear strategy re the 5 seats and no comms whatsoever from Tesla have to agree with them on that side, although 100% with you on the ride as strange contradictions ..

That's stupid money, my dealer told me when ordering (and I naively took his word) that cost would be very reasonable and only £100's. He did send me the following text that I hope is helpful, although as I don't take delivery till March I haven't done anything yet. Good luck and keep us up to...

They don't appear to have the side bolstering that the seats had prior, with "bench" now seeming to be the operative word. Hope they are as comfy but seems (need to see it in the flesh) that the outer seats are same as middle (head rest being exception) which is different to most makes these...

Looks to be a good amount of space which is good news although agree would be nice to know dimensions. However, you would have thought they would have somehow hidden the bloody seat hinges and at least made it cosmetically acceptable. I think it looks a mess, even if it were a £5000 Dacia Duster,

Ordered 1st nov and price now £2650 more!! Pretty scary, have to say despite awesomeness of the car in particular speed and tech, it's bloody expensive but to rub salt in wound, I'm finding the service and communication from Tesla bloody. Non existent... Can't beleive any other car...

Wow that's quick. Ordered mine 1st nov and deliver mid March!! Albeit it's right hand drive and deliver to UK, still, 3 months longer to do that!!

Lol. I'm glad it's not just me... Think if they had told me it was going to be delivered last week I would have gone mad with excitement. Only got 3 months to wait (and that's assuming it's on time). Hope it arrives soon

Ordered 90D x on 1st Nov in Birmingham store and was told i had probably 2 weeks to order to ensure delivery was within March. Currently waiting for the rhd X they took delivery of last week to be "commissioned" so i can drive it home to see if it will fit in my garage (so i can sort out charger...

Reading all your comments make me feel so happy I'm not going to be the model x insurance pioneer.. When I was ordering MX (delivery March) was told (and naievly beleived) that insurance wouldn't be an issue not too expensive. Will watch with interest.
