    Broken Windshield Wiper Arm

It was about 4 months ago. They still service roadsters. You can ask for Mark.

    Roadster 3.0

Thanks for sharing Zak. I am curios if the range on your car immediately showed the higher R80 values? I also have the new 3.0 and it did not show initially. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

    Roadster 3.0

Wanted to share an update. I finally had a chance to fully run the battery down on a long trip to where it alerted and said the battery was low. At the time it had 10% remaining when I charged it. After a full range charge, it now shows an estimated range of 284 miles at 96%. It says it...

    Roadster 3.0

Glad to hear your car is now ok. So when they first installed and you charged that first night, it showed it only charged to 157. You took it in and they did a full charge at it got to 300? I am asking because I have done a range charge to 95% and it still goes to only 235. DId they say what...

    Roadster 3.0

They told me that I have to fully deplete the battery at least three times before the ranges will reset. I am curious to hear what they tell you. I have been a bit busy and have not yet got through three cycles where I can take the battery down by driving it. Hope you get a better answer.

I can tell you based on my experience that all that was changed on the PEM was a new board to support the new battery pack They said my old PEM was reinstalled after the board was swapped out.

    Roadster 3.0

Tesla engineering got back to my service rep and told her that I need to drive the car for 3 cycles where I deplete the battery down to ~20%. They said that it will "reset" the display to show the accurate range for the 3.0 battery when it charges from that point. Seems odd since I never once...

    Roadster 3.0

I called service this morning and am awaiting a response. Here is the charge level now that the battery has been fully balanced and has been left at standard charge mode for 2 days. It has settled in at 76%. Still calculates as it is like a 50 kwh battery.

I think you are right. I think maybe the firmware/update was not done correctly or this is a lower kwh battery. I will find out tomorrow and report back. I saw one of the original 3.0 install posts where the individual had the OVMS installed and could see that the battery had been changed out...

    Roadster 3.0

I was about 30 miles from the service center and had the air on. I can definitely drain it down and put 150 miles on the car. My general thought was why didn't anyone who had the original install ever mention anything like this? Everyone that got it back from service said it immediately...

I am in LA. To provide an update. The prior image of the ESS SOC was from last night after I did the partial range mode charge. I left the car overnight in standard mode charge and here is the display now. It has dropped the min down to 79% from 82% which is where it probably wants to be at...

    Roadster 3.0

Thanks @slcasner for replying. I guess my question is how would it really jump that much as it won't charge beyond a certain point? Should I run a range charge? I actually had my prior battery for 8 years and never did a range charge. Always standard at 24 amps. It really never degraded...

Hello all, I want to start by stating that I am by no means roadster technically knowledgeable as many on this forum are, but I do read up to stay informed and appreciate that all of you share such great information. This is a long post so please read on as I can use some your expertise. I...

    the bumpers are plastic

Just to clarify, Doug, as part of the Tesla upgrades, you can get a Carbon Fiber front spoiler. I said I had a CF bumper, this is what was ordered and was the same price on the part list from Tesla as the replacement standard bumper. So while the bumper is not CG, the whole front spoiler...

    the bumpers are plastic

Accident I had the same thing happen to my 1.5. The braking system is questionable, as I had good separation from the truck in front of me and was only going 45 MPH. In my situation, it was a truck with a tow hitch, so it rode up my hood before I could stop. The bumper is plastic on the 1.5...

I am also new to the board. I bought a 2008 Roadster that is number 147. I submitted the HOV sticker paperwork on 1/6/11. I called the DMV this week and they said due to furloughs they are way behind in processing and that I should expect it to take about a month and a half to be completed.

    Home Charger for sale

I recently purchased a 2008 Roadster and it came with the home charger. I decided to go the universal charger route since they will be making power accessible at my work. If any one is interested in purchasing the hpc, let me know via pm. I am in the Los Angeles area but can ship if...
