Raven Performance in Europe - only hits 140 kW for few minutes, 92 kW for the rest

I noticed with 2023.7.20, the charging curve (in V3 station) is more linear and doesn't drop to 94 kW after about 29% SOC it used to. I am seeing 158KW at 20% SOC, 100 kw at 51% SOC and 72 kW at 72% SOC. Anybody else see this? I have Model X 2017 100D. Finally, Tesla engineers seem like they...

    Longer term Ohmmu experiences?

I replaced the Rev 3 Ohmmu lithium battery with Rev4+ version with Bluetooth and the car drained the battery withing 24 hrs to 5% meaning it wasn't charging in the car. I am tired of dealing with resetting and replacing Ohmmu battery. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MODEL 3/Y Firmware and they should...

Any updates on this location. I will be passing by this weekend.

    '18 X100D - HV battery replacement

Anyone tried supercharging 100D in V2 and V3 after installing 2022.40.1. It should be better since they optimized charging curves depending on the type of supercharger.

Raven Performance in Europe - only hits 140 kW for few minutes, 92 kW for the rest

Yes, I noticed something like yours in my 2017 100D Model X. I am not sure if the time to charge is the same between V2 and V3 for say 15% to 80%.

Raven Performance in Europe - only hits 140 kW for few minutes, 92 kW for the rest

Was it supercharged primarily, meaning at high rates like Model X/S/3/Y? What is the capacity after 3.5 yrs? With current battery technology, you cannot achieve best of everything - range, charging time, capacity retention, cost

Raven Performance in Europe - only hits 140 kW for few minutes, 92 kW for the rest

I do think that there could be an oversight on Tesla's part on not turning on the cooling fan. They do allow the pack to run hot after charging at a very high rate in V3. Why allow that high rates if they want to protect the battery in the first place. I am going to file a bug report in the...

Raven Performance in Europe - only hits 140 kW for few minutes, 92 kW for the rest

In V2, it is better (at 54%SOC, charge rate is 100kW with a gradual taper from 142KW). In V3, I see exactly what you guys get (30% - 60% it is stuck at 94KW after peak of 196KW and sudden drop to 94KW at about 31%). Battery temperature was above spec. in V3 (goes as high as 55C) and cooling fan...

    Battery Cooling Issues

I think SW team missed something in their code. Fading support for legacy models, I suppose. My Model 3 fan kicks in though.

    Battery Cooling Issues

After HV battery replacement, the issue manifested in an unusual way. On a V3 charger, charging ramps up to 190KW briefly and at 31% SOC drop down to 94KW and stays on at that rate until 61% (slightly increase to 97KW when it gets close to 55%) . The battery temps are not in working range and I...

No, it is not new, It is a remanufactured battery. We can't expect a new battery for 75K mile car after 4.5 years of ownership. Estimated miles showing 275 miles at 100% SOC. Battery Cooling Issues

Tesla agreed to replace the HV battery, finally. No ETA. Not sure the what would be state of replacement? Will it have less capacity that what I have. That is my concern now. They don't make any of those 2017, 18650 battery packs.

    Battery Cooling Issues

    Battery Cooling Issues

Issue still not fixed. At this point, the only fix I am thinking is to replace HV battery. I am not sure why service centers are dodging to solve this issue once and for all.

    Battery Cooling Issues

Technician at Fremont Service center attributed the issue to bad onboard charger which was not allowing the coolant to flow properly and hence battery was over heating during super charging. At first, I was skeptical about his assessment, but he was confident, and Tesla would stand by it. Time...

    Battery Cooling Issues

Update: Got my car back from Service Center yet another time. The Technician found a leak in AC system due to bad O-rings and thinks that is the cause for the battery heating up during supercharging. Need to make another test run on my end to see this fixed it.

    Battery Cooling Issues

I am losing patience and no word yet from service center. Long distance driving is quite impossible with this scenario as it takes twice as long in each supercharger location with this issue. If they give me a crap answer saying that everything is normal, I am going for arbitration.

    Battery Cooling Issues

All I can say is there is something going on in the Battery thermal management system or maybe a bad battery module and Service center has no clue for the past month or so. I am posting here to find out if anybody had similar issues. My range is at 270 miles for 100% SOC (after BMS...

    Battery Cooling Issues

As you see in the last few pictures in the series, yellow bar mean you are power limited. If I sit at supercharging on a hot day say until 65% SOC, my power is limited to like 40kWh on the energy graph in Instrument Panel and end up driving at no more than 30MPH until battery cools due to car motion
  36. K

    Battery Cooling Issues

I start with normal supercharging rate (as shown in first picture) and see how it goes down rapidly in subsequent pictures and ends up with yellow bars when I am ready to drive after supercharging

In my case it showed up around 7k and I have automatic lowering from standard at 55 mph. It has become really worse since then. If you set it to low all the time, shudder will show up after 10k or so depending upon how hard you accelerate. Shudder is pronounced when you kind of turn and...

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

Sorry to say, TSB won't last for long. Shudder will come back. It is a design issue and can be fixed only if drive units move with the suspension height adjustment so that the drive shaft and drive unit all in same horizontal plane
