Thanks! Anyone have a good shop recommendation in NorCal?

Has anyone installed this on a 2024 X? I imagine it should work the same but just wanted to confirm. Where is the best place to buy the current kit? Also, can it be aligned at Tesla afterwards or needs to be done at another shop?

17K other than 3/Y delivered, going to assume maybe 8K was X. The incentives for next Q might have to be better if they want these numbers to be higher, hopefully those that didn't get yours in time get better deals.

The R1S is such a great car, wish I had known about the tax credit on leases before purchasing my new X. The X is still cheaper and being able to transfer FUSC and FSD over was nice, but I really liked the R1S. Looking forward to the R2.

I am pretty sure it is all automatic. I had assumed I wouldn't get any miles since I also transferred super charging, but it showed in my account after I accepted delivery originally with a 6 month expiration. Then a few days later it was extended to two years.

I setup the account before I left for delivery, but didn’t send payment till I finished inspecting the car.

I can confirm that the 5000 miles charging credit works on any car in the account. Finally tried my other car and it deducted from my miles. Turns out the car I transferred FUSC from still charges for free for some reason, guess takes time to update backend.

In the app for the section normally for trade ins, it should show transferring FSD and FUSC. I selected no trade in and had to accept the terms in the app to transfer both.

Mine was built on the same day. Of course no updates, but no issues found so far. I am close to the factory, so imagine it took a little longer to line up logistics to ship out next batch of cars to your nearest delivery center.

If you’re okay with buying privately, you could probably get a better price on a 75D or 90D.

If you aren’t in any particularly hurry and care that much, I’d say wait.

I tried it on the car where FUSC was transferred from and the cost was free, though on the car screen there was a cost. It hasn’t deducted anything from my 5000 miles yet but I think that will happen later. There is no mention of VIN in the referral miles.

Fighting the doors is kind of annoying too, can’t believe it’s been over a year like this.

I believe all 2024 VINs have the mechanical horn.

Since the MSRP would be higher, it wouldn’t qualify. There is a banner on inventory cars that do qualify.

I have no doubt these changes are coming at some point, but can say cars rolling off the line today did not have them yet.

Definitely happy to be wrong if it turns out to be true, just surprised they would make changes to the car before end of the quarter. Maybe it doesn't require any retooling and is just a part swap.

Ordered on 2/13 a tax edition now showing 3/3-3/24 instead of just March.

If they are coming, I would imagine they would do them at the beginning of next quarter? Doesn't seem to make sense to retool the line while they are trying to pump out orders for end of quarter. S/X don't have as many lines as the 3/Y so I have to imagine it is harder to re-tool.

I've had the Continental DWS06 on mine due to great wet/snow performance for occasional trips to Tahoe, but definitely is a hit on range. Need to look into the Hankooks for my next set.

I am in the same boat, seeing how people who ordered last year are only getting cars now I am not that hopeful. Tesla is probably prioritizing higher margin cars as well.

Are these documents signed at delivery or before? From the agreement sounds like if you sign and need to decline delivery for whatever reason you’re out of luck.

But then your NBC charges may be higher, which might not be worth it unless your system is undersized compared to your usage. I am going to need to track it more closely this year to see if exporting will be worth it.
