Clunking noise from the rear of the car finally fixed!

    Legends. Thanks!

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I installed MPP comfort adjustable coilovers and front bush replacements with some UP rear arms. Set them up to the sport coilover settings on ride height and stiffness. Works absolutely wonderfully for me. For wheels and tyres I ended up with flow formed 19x9 JR SL01 ET30 all around with Conti...

2021 Model 3 Heater blowing cold air

Well, when it is -25C outside and -10C inside with the windshield freezing up because, you know, you have to breathe to survive, it's not that much of a "practice" thing. Besides, the car is at Tesla service, "practicing" being cold and miserable in my new car is not something that I can...

Luckily this issue is being taken seriously, according to second hand reports at least:

2021 Model 3 Heater blowing cold air

There are 100+ Model3's in Finland that suffer from this issue. My 02/21 M3P's heating crapped out during a Xmas roadtrip to Lapland and had to be towed to the nearest service. Now, three weeks later, it has finally been taken inside and tested, but I have no idea when I'm going to get my car...

    2021 Model S

And now, this: Tesla announces extended Model S/X production shutdown, hinting at design refresh - Electrek 18day shutdown for the S/X production lines. Wonder what this is for :D

    2021 Model S

I don't have an innate need to be right, but if you can find a better story to fit the fact "if I'd order an S today in FIN, I would not get it for the next four months" then do tell.

    2021 Model S

Tesla has just increased their pricing in Finland, which might be due to the interior refresh coming up in early '21 as deliveries are still scheduled to happen in March'21 just like in the post above. As the price difference is greater between LR and P, I assume that Tesla in US is trying to...

    2021 Model S

If you order one in Finland today, your delivery will happen in March'21 based on the info in the configurator. Which is interesting to a degree.

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Unless you have evidence to collaborate your statement, then you are just slinging your opinion around. Restating your opinion over and over again does not make it a fact. Whereas we know that Tesla has had to cut production costs, we know that the paint booth has been the bane of Tesla's...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Directly related to this I've now cancelled my P3D order and requested my initial funds to be returned. I'll be back once the build quality and Tesla's ability to act responsibly regarding build quality issues improve. Hope that Y will fix many of these issues.

    Model 3 paint wearing off

One could argue that if they knew this during the power train design, why wasn't this effect then countered in the chassis protection design. I find this argument deeply flawed. Due to cost cutting in the Model 3 production, they've now cut too deep and have to fix the issues that they've...

What did you look at other than the 3

BMW 530e which when loaded up is on par with the P3D here in Finland. As my Tesla is still not delivered and considering the latest news of extreme cost cutting from Tesla, massive issues with people who are waiting to get their cars serviced, the upcoming "paint-gate" for cold climate cars...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Thanks for the additional data, this does not look too good for Tesla and the design decisions that they've made with the materials that they have had to work with in the regions where they want to sell their cars.

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Do remember that the paint coverage between the cars varies surprising amounts, even if they are painted by robots and by logic they should be able to do the exact same paint job over and over again. But they don't. It wouldn't surprise me if the composition of the paint as well as the amount...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Thanks ;) We'll update you guys once a conclusion has been reached. You seem to be so eager to see what a socialist country with pro-consumer legislation can and can't do, so we'll be happy to provide a bit more info once we get this train moving. As far as I know, a sizable bunch of people to...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

See this is where we differ quite a bit. Having done contacts with US and EU companies, on the US everything and all edge cases need to be mentioned and agreed. Here in the old world we tend to have a bit less of a "**** you" attitude and can have expectations on what a product, a car in this...

    Model 3 paint wearing off

Could the two of the loudest dissidents tone down the fanboyism just a bit? This is a real issue and it needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. If due to CA EPA regulations Tesla needs to use paint that is unsuitable to all the territories where they sell the car, they need to provide...

Why we are returning a car that we love from a brand we deeply respect

I too configured my first P3D at the same timeframe as you and took delivery in Finland during the last days of February. The car had several issues that we noted with the delivery folks and discussed about being in contact later to bring the car in for a service. Gaps, paint problems, underside...

You agree to pay a price for your car. Stop complaining here every time Tesla makes price adjustment

That being said, it is still amazing how much they have been going back and forth on pricing. Especially when you factor in the amount of money that can be saved. I returned my initial configuration after realizing that FSD where I live is not going to be usable and after driving with EAP for a...

KW coming in with Model 3 coilover(s) and springs

Thanks for posting that, I was just going to drop a link to those. I have them on my daily/tracktoy BMW 135i and they make adjusting the dampeners a breeze. Do not buy these before you get the coilovers! They come in several sizes and you need to either get the measurements of the tops from KW...

KW coming in with Model 3 coilover(s) and springs

Öhlins has no plans as of today to make any Model 3 products and the KW kit for AWD/Perf is three months out.

KW coming in with Model 3 coilover(s) and springs

KW is coming in with products as well, coilovers and few options for just springs are listed. So far only the RWD V3 version is listed, AWD/Perf. on the announcement page is mentioned to be "released shortly". As an EU customer, these are going to be quite a bit cheaper than MPP or UP...

Don't buy FSD for $2k more. [from 2019 - FSD upgrade not available for 2k at this time]

In EU, where Tesla just started to deliver vehicles about a week before the price changes, we have a guaranteed, legal, 14-day return RIGHT for products purchased online. I've returned my P3D, cancelled the trade and got a full refund, and I'm not locally the only one. I will be ordering a new...

Vendor Track Day Guide for Beginner and Experienced Model 3 Owners

EU customer here. After finally getting to test drive P3D I'm horrified by the drivers seat and the support that it provides. Seat is soft, the side bolsters on the back and the seat itself are too low and the seat at front starts to curve down too quickly leaving my thigh behind the knee...

Model 3 reveal lacking exciting details b/c they are still trying to anti sell it?

The event was big on anti-sell from my point of view, I was expecting an Apple-type of a product launch with demos. It's great that there are other outlets for the details and exciting news, but I wished that Tesla would have covered these. I do bet that it is a lot cheaper to get "someone else"...

    Model 3 Handover Event -- July 28, 2017

From the M3 FAQ: "This means international Model 3 deliveries will begin in late 2018, contingent upon regulatory approvals, staring with left-hand drive markets, followed by right-hand drive markets in 2019." That is a bummer, guess I'll be waiting for 1.5years more then until 3 lands in Finland.

    Model 3 Handover Event -- July 28, 2017

Well, they did keep to their selected PR line and continued the anti-sell. Man, was that livestream underwhelming and I'm kinda sorry for waking up at 06:45AM on a Saturday for that 20mins of nothing. The details that I wanted the livestream to convey I got out from the Electrek post, so much...

I stand corrected by the production numbers then, but considering the hype that had generated all by itself for the product, they could have milked it out a lot better. Watch any of the late Apple's WWDC events to see how you make a product presentation with demos and drilling down on the...

    [Speculation] Model 3 0.237 kwh/mile!

$0.04? For energy and transfer? That is extremely cheap when compared to what I'm used to paying for it, 0.06€ + 0.05€.

    [Speculation] Model 3 0.237 kwh/mile!

If you consider the price of electricity, transfer and the infrastructure, that is a quite expected price per kWh. I do understand that paying anything for something that used to be free is a pain.
