Did you make a mistake with installing rear mud flaps? I did it until seller send me the instruction.

That's what I thought too, but if you look at threads here, there are folks convinced the rear mud flaps don't fit until they realize they have been trying to install them on the front of the rear wheel lol

    Aftermarket Tow hitch-bay area

It's up to them. I had a hitch install appointment for my first Y and they scheduled a home visit. For the 2nd Y, they wanted me to bring it in. It only took a few hours.

    Aftermarket Tow hitch-bay area

I only wanted the hitch for my bike rack as well , and went with OEM. It's just a better option as you'll get tow software and you know the hitch will work well.

Help me decide which one to sell - Old Model S or New Model Y?

I would never buy a tesla out of warranty.

    Total loss insurance question

Changing insurance isn't going to erase your claim either. Insurance Companies share the same claims data, so it will follow you.

    Snippiness 2.0

No, but it seems you spend a little too much time here.

Full matrix headlight functionality just approved by NHTSA!

I literally cannot wait for this to be enabled! The tech is really cool.

Does a Model 3 first production with low VIN (#567) increase value?

You may have issues selling it because it's an early vin. These are not collector cars, and unfortunately for you they made some massive improvements in later years.

Anyone tried Nansure Read Splash Guards? (Looks like OEM Front Mud Flaps)

Yep, the nansure ones are really for cosmetics to match the front. The rear flaps don't do anything to protect your car anyways. I had the basenor ones prior and after a month od driving, I pulled them off and they had a ton of grit in the pockets. This is not even with rain driving or snow. I...

Purchased the "Basenor Tesla Model Y Front and Rear Seat Pad Protector Cushion"

haha maybe. I was only going to use the front so I test installed one seat, and it was not for me. Actually this is my wife's car so if she doesn't like it, then no sense in keeping it.

OEM Modely Y Mud Flaps no longer fit?

That's just a bug on their Webstore. As you can see a lot of us have the flaps and other accessories. I had both 2020 MY and now a 2022.

Purchased the "Basenor Tesla Model Y Front and Rear Seat Pad Protector Cushion"

I actually returned them today. They were kinda bulky and I honestly don't think my wife would look them. The colors did match great though. The pic was taken prior to install.

Purchased the "Basenor Tesla Model Y Front and Rear Seat Pad Protector Cushion"

They came today. Quality looks good. Definitely not leather, but best part is. No smell! My Wife has the car, so ill probably install over the weekend.

OEM Modely Y Mud Flaps no longer fit?

Maybe the OP accidentally bought or was shipped the Model 3 ones?
  15. stan23

Purchased the "Basenor Tesla Model Y Front and Rear Seat Pad Protector Cushion"

I thought the OP already bought it based on his title! When I ordered the front seat cushions in white, it said "last one available"

OEM Modely Y Mud Flaps no longer fit?

I had the same message when I ordered the OEM mudflaps for my 22 MYP. My guess is they didn't update their site for the 22 models. Of course fit was perfect. Have a pic of your fender where the flaps install? I highly doubt they changed anything.

Anyone tried Nansure Read Splash Guards? (Looks like OEM Front Mud Flaps)

I have these. They look just like the oem fronts. Love them.

Purchased the "Basenor Tesla Model Y Front and Rear Seat Pad Protector Cushion"

I bought the last white set. Should be here tomorrow and I'll test fit. Wanted it primarily for the leg extension.

Dang, I don't know which is worse...trying to buy a PS5 or Homelink

I've bought a handful of stuff from Tesla, and am always amazed at how quickly it arrives. Usually in a day or 2!

Does the camera vieing feature in sentry mode STILL only work on iphone?

Note 20 on T-mobile here. Works great.

Yeah, I was able to order one an hour ago! Goof timing!

I would literally pay a markup for the homelink now lol

    Tesmanian Online Store No Response

I also had issues with Tesmanian, and they blamed Fed Ex like others. Funny thing is, I had many other packages shipped and deliver via Fed Ex while I waited for Tesmanian for a response. Since I never received my package, and they refused to send another, I had to do a CC chargeback. Only then...

rear mud flaps to match the OEM fronts

I found some rears that match the OEM shape and profile as the front. I had the other rears that most folks run, but hated that they didn't match the front look. I'm not 100% sold on the look, but at least they match the front! Plus, this is my wife's car. :)

2022 Model S LR for sale - SF Bay Area

Yeah, asking and selling price may differ. Your cars msrp is 94k Going rate is whatever the market will bear. My guess in the 85ish range.

2022 Model S LR for sale - SF Bay Area

Brain fart on my part. Yes I know the title gets sent from DMV as with all the other cars we've bought. Just seems it's taking longer than usual. /GLWS but unfortunately it looks like S LRs are not selling for anywhere near MSRP.
  27. stan23

2022 Model S LR for sale - SF Bay Area

Just curious--how long did it take Tesla to send you the title? We picked up our Y on 1/3 and paid in full with a cashier's check. Still don't have plates or title..

    Inventory question

99.9% they will not give you old pricing on an inventory order. They will treat it as a new order and you will pay the price as listed.

Got VIN and Model Y delivery price increased by $4000

Ah! got it. I honestly hope you can get the original price, but this will be an uphill battle for sure. Good luck and enjoy your new car! 100% agree that their frequent price increases and non-ability to change an order well before the car was built sucks.
  30. stan23

Got VIN and Model Y delivery price increased by $4000

Wait.. you haven't bought a car from Tesla, yet you want them to give you $4000? I'm rooting for ya, but that seems a little outrageous.
  31. stan23

Got VIN and Model Y delivery price increased by $4000

You literally wrote you called them to change the order. Your instructions of "save me $3,000" isn't gonna fly because those aren't instructions they can execute.
  32. stan23

Got VIN and Model Y delivery price increased by $4000

Unfortunately that is not true.. A color change is a change.. Read your MVOA (Motor Vehicle Order Agreement) If you make changes to your order, you may be subject to potential price increases for any pricing adjustments made since your original Order Date. Any changes made by you to your...

When do I get registration sticker? Who to reach out to?

The registration card and month/year stickers COMES in the same envelope as the plate. I'm in CA as well, and this has been my experience after buying many new cars through the years.

Lots of refinement between 2020 and 2022 Model Y

On the 2020 car, when you open the hatch and look where the tail light attaches, there are some very rough looking seams. The 2022 looks exponentially better.

Model Y Range LR Vs Performance

We had a MYLR and just swapped over to the P. Coming from performance cars, the P suits us much better. It's not only a crap ton faster, but handles much better due to the slightly lower rode height and meatier tires. The brakes feel the same on both. For the price difference now, it's really...

Tesla's amateurish service lives up to its bad reputation

In the climate that we live in, I don't expect loaners. I just dropped off my new '22 BMW X5M which costs exactly twice my wifes MYP. Not only did I not get a loaner, they paused any shuttle runs or uber credits. I was left on my own. Life's too short to get mad over trivial things. I decided to...

  38. stan23

Lots of refinement between 2020 and 2022 Model Y

I'll give you a real world example. I'm in CA as well. I bought a 2020 MYLR white 5 seater/black interior back in 6/2020 for $59,000 OTD I sold the same car last month for $58,000 cash. The car had 19K miles on it. I shopped around, and picked the easiest sale - sold to a car dealer who picked...

Model Y Performance or Model S Plaid?

I wish my wife wanted the Plaid. She is not a fan of the yoke (which I told her can be changed) but she views the S as an old model (we had a 2017 S) So the MYP it was. Honestly, it's a great car.

Would like to lock in current low interest rated, but lease runs out in June

I assume the OP still has the car based on his post. Meaning if he didn't sell his lease to a 3rd party before 10/2021. There is no longer an option for a 3rd party dealer to pay off his lease.. That's what Tesla changed recently.
  43. stan23

Would like to lock in current low interest rated, but lease runs out in June

Tesla does not allow buy out of any lease during or after the lease period. Meaning, you can't sell the car to a 3rd party (any dealer) nor can you buy it out yourself. It's crazy, but true for 3 and Ys.
  44. stan23

Sold MY last week - friend letting me borrow a car until my new Y arrives - nice "rental"

Cool story bro. Personally for me (being a car guy) I would never borrow anyone's car.

    CA Waiting Room

I ignored the online payment in the app and called the Fremont Delivery center. I asked if I can bring a cashiers check for the full amount directly from my bank. They said no problem. I did just that at delivery day.

Selling new inventory instead of fulfilling existing orders?!?

Pretty sure I saw his car there. I looked at all the blue ones!
  47. stan23

Payment method: Plaid vs direct draft

Like most of you, I did not want to do plaid. I got a cashier's check for the full amount and handed to them the day of delivery.

Selling new inventory instead of fulfilling existing orders?!?

Or most likely Tesla would rather sell the car at current MSRP rather than match a local order that was placed months ago at a lower MSRP. Sad reality is that Tesla is a publicly traded co who's number 1 priority is to make money.
