Anyone with HW4 tried a MirrorTap?

Don't skimp, everything's better with the WireTap branded kit, quality of the pins and cables. If not you end up spending more having to buy both kits in the end. $80k+ vehicle is worth the $35 IMO.

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Yeah, weird..... mine don't have that rounded end at all and he did say 24' LR mines a 23' LR, not sure whey they would add length to the studs considering the wheel specs haven't changed. Only way to know is bust out the ruler and see how much would be exposed after the 15-25mm spacer added. 🤷‍♂️

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

Nope, didn't cut anything. Pic collage shows how it sat when I initially tried the 15mm and 20mm combo. The extra length of the bolts was not an issue with the Martian wheels as the pockets were at least an inch deep, so after adding the 15-20mm spacer it was a non-issue. Now I didn't test fit...

    Wheel Spacers on Model X

So here we are again… now running spacers on my 2023 Model X LR w/ new aftermarket Martian MW05 wheels. 👽 They are Model S specd, 20x9.5” +40 and 20x10.5” +40 so I added spacers to get them nice and flush along with my N2ITIVE lowering links. 👌🏻 Tried 15mm front and 20mm rear but poked a bit...

    2022 X tint percent

50% is fine, just much lighter than the OEM rear tint, and Yes, definitely still visible. Watch the video I linked earlier. 👀 https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/posts/7833709/ Personally I would go at least 35% on the fronts so it's more of a smooth transition from lighter to darker rear glass...

    Model X Winter Tires

Latest gen just got a little fatter in the rear from 9.5” to 10”. Offsets (+35/40) are irrelevant as far as tires go, it’s just how far out from the wheel hub the rim will sit. Any tire that will fit the old X will fit the new X. All tires have an acceptable rim width range. Example attached...

My buddy Mike (former Tesla tech) has a performance shop in PA that works on all EV's and some ICE too. He's done most of my mods (and many of my highly modified Model 3 buddies) since my first Tesla in 2018. He didn't have the alignment file for the refresh X/S yet at the time he installed the...

No camber arms, but just some simple generic 1/8” (3mm) shims for now. Alignment is OK, but already planning to install the larger shims to take a bit more camber out of the rear. I did notice a bit of added harshness with the lowering links in the front end more than the rear. I'm very glad I...

Alternative, DIY refresh Model X rear camber correction

So here’s my alignment sheet…. 2023 Model X LR w/ N2ITIVE lowering links set at -2 (Front) and -8 (Rear) + 15mm spacers front & rear + generic 1/8” (3mm) camber shims. @ngng 👀 I have already ordered the thicker Red shims w/ longer bolts from Secret EV Performance and think they will be...

(50% off sale) 20x9.5 +40 and 20x10.5 +40 so I added some 15mm bolt-on spacers to get them flush. 👌🏻...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Mine was 72-months, there was a floor rate of 3.99% so no better for 60mo. That rate is long gone now with Fed Choice... they would take a full 1% off the listed rate for new member loans. Not sure that's still active or not, but maybe possible to get in the 5.5-5.6% range currently still...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Not gunna happen... Last year (2023) was the year for S/X price drops. What more are you expecting after a $30-40k reduction? Free colors late last year, you missed it. Extra $1k Tesla Loyalty offer still on the table for some if you're a CT res. holder. ON and OFF FSD and Unlimited...

Savings of $2,500, why did you order Model X tax edition 5 seats over the Model S (non-Plaid) 5 seats ?

SUV seating position, more space, motorized open/close doors, mega windshield, Federal incentive. Been a sedan/coupe driver since about 2010, but my first vehicle was a Jeep. Decided to give the SUV style a re-visit after an awesome 5+ years of Model 3 life. All the 2023 price drops really...

Rear AC always starts in Auto mode

Not sure about pre-refresh vehicles, but for about a year or so now there is an option under Auto to adjust your fan speed. So there is Auto High / Auto Medium / Auto Low without having to go to manual controls. Auto Medium guy myself, and yes I do hear the difference when the rear is...

How to protect new front half-shafts

Kinda forgot about that detail.... OEM pocket depths. 🤷‍♂️ No issues at all with my aftermarket Martian wheels. Pockets were nearly an inch deep. ✅ Guess I'll find out in the fall when I planned on putting winter rubber on the OEM 20's.

Ain't no way I bought any Tesla to "drive in Chill", definitely not a Plaid. 🚀 I'm currently running the N2itive Lowering Links, camber shims, and wheel spacers on aftermarket 20" Martian forged wheels on my 2023 LR X. Will be getting it aligned shortly as soon as get around to dialing in...

Whatever happened to the front bumper camera and ambient lighting?

Highly unlikely. Model S/X average only about 15-25k units COMBINED per quarter, for years now. On par with Q1 this year. There is a lot of 3/Y’s sitting yet to be delivered.

I picked mine up in Princeton NJ back in Nov. 2023, also Springfield back in July 2018. Location is irrelevant, although timing like at the end of a quarter could be a little more restrictive due to volumes moving per day. All service/delivery centers will be a ZOO this week guaranteed so I...

What would happen if you end up in water?

I use predictive shifting, works great 95% of the time. No issues swiping the other 5% after 5 years with Model 3's with stalks, non-issue. So the brakes didn't work either? She pulled a k-turn right at the very edge? At least they admit it was driver error... everybody likes to point fingers...

    Motor/Gear Noise on 2023 Model X?

I've owned a 2018 Model 3 RWD LR, then a 2019 Model 3 AWD Performance and now a 2023 Model X LR. Definitely more motor whine in the X and I enjoy it actually it when my music isn't too loud to hear it. In the Model 3's I usually would have to fold the rear seat down to get more motor...

Used X plaid prices! Could they get to the 60s by the end of the year?

Pure EV's (ZEV) have been sales tax free here in NJ since 2004 and yes, applies to new and used. :) https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/5778 Unfortunately, very recently they are looking to phase this EV perk out now over a 3-year span. HomeLink

Been using HomeLink since 2018 with my Model 3's and now on my HW4 (Oct. 2023 built) Model X with no real issues. Used X plaid prices! Could they get to the 60s by the end of the year?

Warranty would be the big #1 reason for me, Plaid or LR. Not so much the drivetrain/battery which is 8yrs/150k already, but the bumper-to-bumper (4yrs/50k), because especially compared to a Model 3/Y the S/X components (suspension especially) ain't cheap. Sure you could pick up one used an add...

True, but its still within manufacture limits and an acceptable fitment for the tire. 275/45/20 Tire range is 8.5-10.5" I'm going the same route, reusing the OEM tires while going with aftermarket 20x9.5F and 20x10.5R wheels. See direct from TireRack specs attached. 👀

Nice, looking wheel, they really look much larger due to their open and thin spoke design. 😎 Did you weigh them yourself though? Highly doubt they are under 25lbs for 20” and that width. 🤔 My fronts are the same size, Martian MW05 and weigh in at 25 1/2 lbs. (listed as 26lbs. online) fully...
