Advice: Failed LTE/WiFi with MCU 1

My issue is slightly different than the recent MCU 1 failures so I wanted to get some feedback from the hive mind about what's the best course of action. I have a 2015 Model S 90D with about two weeks left on the warranty. In early October the LTE and WIFI went out - it had been flaky for...

    J1772 adapter not working anymore

I'm not up at 42.2 yet so I can't comment on the software part. But I do use lots of charge point chargers and I have had that problem a few times since I can only charge in public and it's been due to a broken charge point charger. Was this at more than one charge point charger?

    Model 2013 with 100,000 miles

Smoke doesn’t just smell bad, it is god awful for electronics (don’t make describe the inside of a computer from a smokers house, those were the absolute most disgusting things to repair). I honestly think that smoke in a Tesla is a dealbreaker. If you’re not convinced, then I would set aside...

Driving from Cleveland to Los Angeles, which is the best route?

As a heads up, Oklahoma has tolls and doesn’t accept I-Pass/EZ-Pass (only their own local transponder), so carry coins or just run the toll so long as it’s your first time through. I was coming up from Houston to Chicago last month and totally forgot about that fact (and it was late at night, so...

New M3 vs New MS vs Used MS which one?

Financially (and how you think about it mentally) speaking, it’s really hard to “win” on price for a 75D without going for a 4 year old model S because of the tax credit. It just doesn’t seem like enough savings for a car that’s 2 years old vs a new car, and then when you get to a 3 or 4 year...

Features & Options to look for on Used Model S

Some thoughts to consider: I would guess that you want an ESA for as long as possible to not have to pay for repairs (definitely smart), but how long do you plan to own the car? I only ask that because I specifically wanted coil suspension (your number 5) to minimize possible future repair...

Second Key doors do not present - or do anything except drive the car

Have you tried unlocking the doors after you put the key on the windshield (described in the manual for a fob with a low battery) to see if it can recognize and then present the doors? It wouldn't answer why the fob won't lock the doors though...

Model S expensive repair making me feel like I'm losing the faith...

it’s pretty easy to lose faith when buying salvage vehicles that you don’t know how/can’t fix on your own. As for the OP - you’re still under the cost of the ESA, so hopefully this is the last bump in the road?

    Selling Model S 90D - Questions

I think that would be accurate for yours then - mine had unlimited supercharging and AP1, but no upgraded sound. My cars price was also a bit of a unicorn in my area (Chicago), the others available were the same miles/year but 85Ds and offered at the same price or 68k

    Selling Model S 90D - Questions

I just bought my 2015 90d used for 67k in November - it had 22,000 miles on it.
