Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Fair enough. I'm guessing that there will be a substantial additional cost for a refurbished pack from Tesla given it would contain all new modules/internals according to your understanding.

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

This winter, I've been getting about 240 miles rated range on my 2013 Model S 85. I live in Ontario (GTA) and purely by coincidence I was watching the monthly meeting of the Tesla Owners Club of Ontario last night and learned that there is a local aftermarket Tesla repair shop that is now doing...

Welcome to the list 😐. I hope this growing list will assist with the truth finding function of potential litigation by helping to establish a pattern of failures.

    Another broken control arm thread

Hello, I experienced an identical break which I shared with TMC. See my thread which includes Forum: Model S Post #3,402 October 26, 2020. Did Tesla make a goodwill adjustment for you?

Failed Rear Lower Control Arm / Service Bulletin SB-19-31-001

Exactly my thinking too. Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

I think that would depend upon the speed of the Tesla at time of failure. I think it is only a matter of time before your theory is put to a test involving another Tesla that experiences the same failure mine did.

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Transport Canada (2020 - 0975) replied to my request for a fuller explanation of the basis for this determination with the following: "No reports of loss of control. And testing verified this."

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Transport Canada (2020 - 0975) just notified me that they concluded their investigation as follows: "We have determined that a failure of the rear lower control arm on the Model S is not detrimental to the safe operation of the vehicle and will be deactivating our file." Recall that Tesla...
