I hope these surprises keep coming!! Much needed for the area. Before there was nothing for a 20 mile radius.

Anyone wondering why there are no building permits for Tampa/St Pete metro area? Orland has 5 and Miami metro area has 10. Seems kind of odd that Tampa Bay has zero right now when the location near Tampa International Airport regularly has wait times.

I was asking for help on how other members have been discovering building permits for Tesla Supercharger locations.

Where do you go to look for public info on possible supercharger locations in county records? Are people just scanning building permit requests or building permit approvals? I don't know anything about how these types of records are managed and which departments provide this information.

Wish I would've look here before I stopped to check if they were online!

Sebring is too far a drive for me to check, hope someone can upload a picture to verify construction has started. I'm mainly interested in this one because it makes driving around south central Florida much easier.

some progress, talked to someone working at this location and he says their company has gotten some locations online in 30-40 days.

The SC location in Odessa, FL (went online last week) is only 6-7 miles from the New Port Richey location.

I've been helping with construction updates for 4+ years now and all I can say is that from the start of construction to the time the superchargers go online it can be anywhere from 3-5 months. I don't recall any locations going online faster than 90 days but I could be wrong about that. There...

Looks like the start of construction but I don't see any Tesla markings on anything.

An optimistic best guess is it will be online by the end of December or early January, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't go online til sometime in February.

Tech working on the chargers today. He said inspection supposed to happen today or tomorrow and the chargers should be online Friday afternoon!

Looks close to going online. I tried to charge but no power yet.

The parking area is now open and I was able to charge successfully today. Need to change the pin color from gray to red.

Stopped by Saturday (2/19/22)

I stopped by Wednesday afternoon and all the construction looks complete (couldn't charge). I asked a worker after Christmas if he knew when they were going to be turned on, and he thought they might have power sometime the first week of January.

Pretty crazy nobody found any hints that Tesla was building one here until the construction was almost complete! I hope these surprises keep coming around me (I live in Spring Hill now). A supercharging station on US19 in Hernando County would be another nice addition to the network.

Just stopped by give an update. Doesn't look like anything has changed since the last reported status.

Stopped by today (July 21) and noticed that there are now covers over most of the superchargers. Never seen these before so not sure what the covers mean timeline wise.

All ten charging stations are now installed.
