I should have trusted my gut!

    Supercharger - Burlington, WA

Anyone know what's up with these posts? They seem like 72kw stalls but like they just slapped them on the end.

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

Haven't been there in a few months but it often has wait times in the app/car when I see it. Side note: if I drove a company car 200 Mike's every day I'd definitely charge to 100% and try not to supercharge during the work day.

Supercharger - Saint Regis, MT (LIVE Jun 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

Stopped by on Sunday (6/11) and was looking close. Still a few empty concrete pads, so I assume missing cabinets?

Supercharger - Kalispell, MT (under construction Apr 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

Sorry to start a philosophical debate on the merits of Bonner's Ferry 😅 My reasoning is that we often drive from CdA to Kalispell along HWY 2 and in the winter it is a stretch. You need 100% fill up in CdA and you need a LR (no SR or SR+) in order to not charge. In the summer it's not a bad...

Supercharger - Kalispell, MT (under construction Apr 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

Really wish they'd put one in Bonners Ferry too, just for some extra comfort in the winter.

    Supercharger - Coeur d'Alene, ID (LIVE Feb 2015, 6 V2 + 8 V3 stalls)

Small walk to a cool donut place. Wish it was going in across the large highway at the Safeway though for bathrooms, snacks, and coffee. Our plan when we charge here (which we always do when going Hwy 2 through Libby to Kalispell) is to grab food before and eat while charging.

I'd love a Cook City, MT for some Yellowstone access :D

How's this looking? Time to break the champagne bottle on the bow of the ship transformer box?

Yup! I got one a few months ago through Delivered. Worked great so far!

    CCS Adapter for North America

It's hard to do when you need to use a Tesla account to purchase them, although it does not seem like they limit the amount a single account can purchase...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Also confirmed it worked on pre-refresh Model X with "CCS Support" enabled. As far as I can tell, if your car says that, it will work for your car!

    CCS Adapter for North America

The AC Hotel by Marriott Beverly Hills has EV charging. I assume L2 (I can't recall the exact setup, I had a rental ICE at the time).
  15. darknavi

    CCS Adapter for North America

Picture evidence! Personally I am convinced now that if your car reports "CCS Support: Enabled" it will probably "just work".

    CCS Adapter for North America

Very odd, I paid $31 for it.

    CCS Adapter for North America

The Tesla CCS charger for ~$280 isn't a bad deal if you can get it directly from them.

    CCS Adapter for North America

We're testing a pre-refresh Model X with CCS support enabled today!

    CCS Adapter for North America

I'm on mobile and can't easily tag everyone. I never got tracking from Tesla Korea in order to provide Deliver Korea the info. What ended up happening is that the package showed up at their facility and they (Deliver Korea) emailed me and had me fill the form out. If you got the shipping info...

    CCS Adapter for North America

With no real battery prep. we saw ~65kw with ~60% SOC. Not too shabby! Still puzzled as to why EA didn't charge me earlier this week either :)

    CCS Adapter for North America

If someone has a CCS 1-ready pre-refresh S/X and is in the Redmond, WA area we can meet up and try it out.

    CCS Adapter for North America

Please do NOT buy one from a scalper. I know people are desperate but please try to buy a legit one or borrow from someone for a trip. Hell, I'd even get a 3p one before a scalped Tesla one from ebay. SCREW SCALPERS.

    CCS Adapter for North America

It's all a fun part of the game of buying a Korean product that isn't released in the US yet :D Honestly still not sure why Tesla hasn't released it yet. Lots of people assume it's so they can stock up on supply or ensure compatibility with US charging networks first, but I really wonder if...

    CCS Adapter for North America

Doubtful (based on lack of response from anyone in the Tesla Shop department) but you might be able to message Delivered about it. I think the suites are all custom numbers to associate it to your account, so if they are on the outlook for a package with your name you might be fine.

    CCS Adapter for North America

Another thought: Try using the info on this page and _not_ the info at the top of the website: https://service.delivered.co.kr/customer/account/accountSettingsAddress

    CCS Adapter for North America

I can't remember the specifics but I had to fool around with it for a while. Here are two examples of the address from emails I got from the Tesla shop, hope they help!

    CCS Adapter for North America

You need to purchase the adapter your self and have it delivered to the address they provide for you.

You can get it a little cheaper by buying it your self and sending it to a cheaper dropshipper.

    CCS Adapter for North America

We were at work so we didn't try, but his "Additional info" section says that he doesn't have CCS charging support. Does your Model X say it is supported?

    CCS Adapter for North America

As an aside, if the top pin didn't fix I think you could just remove it. It seems to be a simple locking pin to help lock the CCS handle to the adapter so people can't unplug you.

    CCS Adapter for North America

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! /farnsworth Just tested it on my buddy's 2018 P100D Model S and it fits (just barely!). Note the pin (sorry for the glare) at the top just barely clearing the painted surface. Video of removal:

Just reading over those posts and I can sympathize with validating Korean addresses. MAN is that confusing :D
  37. darknavi

    CCS Adapter for North America

Interesting. I will say that I never got shipping details, the package just randomly showed up at the drop shipper and they emailed me to fill out details for the item.
  38. darknavi

    CCS Adapter for North America

Just need a credit card and a Korean address. I used this service which gives you a unique address to ship to them. Then they ship it to you! https://www.delivered.co.kr/ It was ~$250 for the adapter and ~$30 to ship and took ~2 weeks from purchase to my door step state-side.

    CCS Adapter for North America

Got my Korean CCS Combo 1 Adapter state-side and tested it with our 2022 Model Y and an EA charger this morning. Worked on the first try! So excited for this to bridge Supercharger gaps this summer. Note: The battery was cold-soaked and at around 50% SoC so the rate was poo poo.

J1772 Charging Adapter is $50 now again

A few reasons: - There aren't SC everywhere there are CCS fast chargers - Tesla (Musk) fails to see a reason to give us cars with more than 350 miles of range Here are two places I am going this summer that have no SC near them and make me have to stop and slow charge between them. One is...

    2022.4.5

I've found it's a mindset. I work on a pretty big game and when I first joined years ago we had exactly ZERO automated tests. No unit, functional, etc. Years later now we have extensive test suites, but way back then I didn't feel naked without tests. Now I feel terrible if I make untested...

Where are you trying to get the hardware from? Do the Korean ones work on US models?

    Supercharger - Shelby, MT

Man I really want a charger in Bonner's Ferry. Perfect in-between for Spokane + Kalispell and good access to Canada for poking up to Banff.

    10.9 FSD

Still no 10.9 here, I'm on 10.8.1. Also waiting anxiously for our new Model Y to get added to the FSD program :) It's kinda crazy how much I don't trust normal Autopilot when just driving in a straight line on surface streets. FSD Beta has a _much_ better understanding of the road way and lanes.

    $12K for FSD is insane

Oh? Do you mind linking them? I actually have never seen anything like Tesla's solution outside of large corps (Waymo) or something like Comma.ai.
  49. darknavi

    $12K for FSD is insane

I didn't read the rest of this thread, but here is one reason why Tesla can charge what ever they want: Lack of competition. If there was another car with the same level of driving software out there they could EASILY undercut Tesla, but there isn't right now. There is no other package that a...
