FWIW - I asked SDGE if I can switch to TOU5 and they said I have to wait another 11 months. SDGE are definitely not very EV friendly and clearly one of the most expensive utilities in USA, which really makes them an EV discourager. Which is why we are so keen for this la costa station to open up.

Oh another useful nugget Tesla mentioned. The car will sleep when not in use but goes into deep sleep after 4hours. Personally I just changed my password to stop Teslabs pinging my car during deep sleep and waking it.

Just set limit on charge screen - eg 70% - charge up to this and then just leave car plugged in charging for a couple more hours.
