Ugh, so our one car with a 3rd row to fit the family is now in the shop for an extended period. I may not be able to wait Tesla out. 😔

I’ve exchanged several emails with my SA at Rocklin over the last couple of days.

I’m in the same situation. I ordered later though (2/28), so I assumed that’s why I don’t have a delivery window. I’m out of town starting on the 27th though, so I think there’s a decent chance I’ll miss my delivery window.

So, I asked my SA about a demo MY7 showing in existing inventory and he went ahead and assigned it to me before confirming that I want it (I don’t). I’ve told him I don’t want it but I’m concerned this will impact my delivery. Anyone ever heard of anything like this?

For those of you who applied with DCU, did you get a confirmation right away when you submitted your application? I haven’t received anything, not even a “we received your application” email and it’s been a couple of hours. Not sure if that’s normal or if I did to try again.

It’s interesting that when I refresh the order page, “4-8 weeks” briefly flashes on the screen before changing to “1-3 weeks” when the page finishes loading.

I’m in Northern CA, so that part doesn’t fit. But my delivery is 7/2. And it did seem odd to me that my ISA started with that day as the first option. It seems clear they’re trying to push deliveries to July. And I’m definitely ok with that.

Just received the email! Delivery date still pending. MSM, sport wheels Invite 4/18 Configured 4/21

I called Tesla this afternoon, the rep told me to still expect delivery this month. I’m skeptical, but ‍♂️

4/21 configuration near Sacramento (2 hours from the factory), June email, still have my edit design link. Only Tesla could blow so many deadlines and promises. My loan approval expires 7/5, I think it’s very unlikely I’m getting a car before then. Extremely frustrating.

Just to clarify, you received an email from Tesla that your delivery is now July? After you earlier received a June email?

If they’re shut down through Thursday, I don’t think we’ll see many VINs this week.

Still my reservation number, no sign of a VIN. Not really expecting one until after the shutdown but that definitely doesn’t keep me from checking over and over and over and over and over...

It REALLY helps us desperately impatient people if folks include their configurations :)

I haven’t quite figured out if they assign VINs before, during, or after production, but I’m assuming we’re close to seeing VIN assignments dry up with the shutdown looming...

I configured 4/21 and my email said June. I’m guessing being in California and having a configuration with sport wheels put me in June.

Clearly we still obsess over VINs!!!!! It’ll just be a longer obsession (followed by a shorter one after).

No idea if this is what’s happening, but I think it would make a lot of sense for Tesla to assign VINs later in the process (or at least make it visible later in the process), very close to when the cars are delivered. That would decrease VIN reassignments from triggering calls, the delivery...

The 10 VINs reported today do not make me optimistic that I’m getting my car soon...
