3D printed rear center console tray

I sold my 2018 Model 3, and was a bit disappointed my new Model Y didn't come with the nicely flocked rear center console tray. I already ordered a front console tray I liked on Amazon, so I didn't want to buy the set from the Tesla shop. So I designed one, that has the option to fit card...

Wired article on "Phantom" image hacking of Tesla and MobilEye ADAS

Link to the article. It mentions the driver wouldn't know why the car reacted, and there wouldn't be any evidence. I don't completely agree with that. The 0.42 second flash needed to fool a Tesla would be noticeable to the naked eye. If the car has Dash Cam activated, that would also be...

Possible to postpone delivery until I see / test drive the Model Y?

I put down a deposit relatively early ($2500 era) as my wife's Prius was burning oil and needed to be replaced soon. Unfortunately, replacement time came sooner than later, and we got a Niro EV (which she loves). That left me with a pre-order I didn't want to get rid of, just in case the Model...

Tesla app states 0 kWh of solar, but clearly it's generating. Seen this?

I just had some additional solar installed by a 3rd party. Now my Tesla App, which syncs to the PowerWall Gateway has been giving me a total of 0 kWh of solar generated, even though the graph clearly shows solar generated, and the app shows power sold back to the grid.

Help with downloaded Powerwall 2 data

Hey all, I just got 2x Powerwall 2s activated less than a week ago. I downloaded the data from the app, which I believe shows power rate in 5 minute increments. I'm trying to figure out total kWh at base, low peak, and high peak. So I figure, at that rate (for example 2.6 kW), that would be...

Swap in J1772 cable to HPWC?

My wife will be getting a non-Tesla EV. I've got a spare HPWC, and would like to hook it up along with my existing one so they can power share. The current plan is to get the $250 Tesla to SAE-J1772 adapter by TeslaTap. Alternatively, I've got a spare Schneider-Electric SAE-J1772 EVSE from when...

AP Torture Test: 2019.8.5 vs. Los Angeles Traffic

Once more I challenged my Model 3's Nav on Autopilot to my daily commute. This video incorporates a tripod mounted view of the rear cam and AP/CGI/bird's eye view window, along with TeslaCam video. I scrub through the unimportant parts. Looks like quite an improvement over the last time, but...

Based on the Model 3 roll-out, when will we see them in Stores / Show rooms?

I'm one of those people who didn't pull the trigger on the Model 3 until I got to sit in one. From what I recall early production went to customers, and we didn't see any in the stores until February or March 2018. Does that seem about right? If so, we won't see them in stores until end of...

Tire rotation recommendation in Los Angeles / The Valley?

I've got a Model 3 coming up to its first tire rotation. I understand adapters are needed to jack up the car. I just wanted to know a reputable place to get my tires rotated in the area. Specifically, the West Valley if possible, but I also work in West Los Angeles. Obviously, I mean aside...
