Let the hacking begin... (Model S parts on the bench)

It means that the only way to get pack isolation value on a non-rooted mcu legacy TMS is to pay a toolbox session ?

Let the hacking begin... (Model S parts on the bench)

The tesla_models_awd file seems to be coherent with a 2015 version id but isolation it not defined in this file. Isolation seems to be defined in tesla_models.dbc file but this definition seems to be for a more recent car version ? I'm surprised this information is not well known and identified...

Hi, I can't find clearly this information, does the battery pack isolation value is published on CAN3 powertrain (on a TMS70D 2015). If yes on which ID is it ? Thanks

    Diagnostic TMS70D 2015 - isolation issue

Ok, that's why I was not able to find isolation value and detailed informations on the MCU . I didn't have root option in mind... Is there someone able to give me the CAN id where I can find the isolation value ? Thanks !

    Diagnostic TMS70D 2015 - isolation issue

I had the opportunity to check more deeply today on the car. Indeed cell balancing is not critical, around 15/16mV. I have a trace file of the powertrain CANBUS, I'm not sure about CAN database informations I found, isolation value is on id 0x212 ? so around 112kOhms (hex value "70" in the...

I'm getting various BMS errors, and my model S won't go into Drive (D) or Reverse (R)

Just for clarification, these x7 can frames must be sent in a row, or a specific timing must be respected ? Thanks

    Diagnostic TMS70D 2015 - isolation issue

Yes I read your story yesterday, it could be similar indeed. I know defaut will come back if there is water inside. So you confirm that CAN frame sequence used to reset this defaut for testing is the "Clear stress" can frame (04 31 01 04 06 00 00 00) right ? Thanks

    ESS recovery

Thanks @MLAUTO, that's what I assumed... We can measure each sheet voltage on the top of each bmb or we imperatively have to remove the bmb to reach the deep 12pins connector ? That's only for a first quick pre-diagnosis of the ess... Thank you.

    ESS recovery

Hello, what is the voltage we are supposed to measure on the service disconnect terminal when the plug is removed ? 0V, a part of the total voltage or the total battery voltage ? My question is : this voltage measurement can give a first reliable information about ESS health or not ? Thanks

Hi Nick, I'm located in Europe and I'm loooking for a solution first to check voltages of each sheet on a potentially bricked roadster. I need it pretty rapidly... Are you able to provide at least the mouser ref of the BMB connector ? Thank you very much.
