Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

35 mph local roads and one thing for sure is it doesn't like roads that have sections of different pavement. A lot of municipalities have sections of repaved road as opposed to paving the whole thing. Also, auto steer availability was fluttering on and off, not just on this section - while...

Updating MY with 2022.45.12 (FSD 11.3.3) what's new?

That's a great workaround. Besides, I usually break down after a few days anyway. Curiosity gets the best of me 😆

Updating MY with 2022.45.12 (FSD 11.3.3) what's new?

Thank you for this. The fact that it doesn't let you turn off automatic lane changes on the highway is reason enough for me to not install this update yet. I'll put up with the update nag until It's forced on me. Hopefully they change this in 11.3.4 or something.

    FSD Beta 10.69

Stopping back in to say that it is definitely better after recalibrating and trying again. Different road though.. For whatever reason, FSD always had difficulty on that particular road. It has some hills and spots where it's half paved (right down the middle), definitely a challenge for any...

    FSD Beta 10.69

Oofa. Just installed 25.2 and It's way worse than the previous version. Just tried it on a local 2 lane, 35 mph road, and it hugs the double yellow line so much that It doesn't feel safe. Then it was halting and accelerating. I suppose I can reboot, maybe recalibrate the cameras? But this is...

Tesla FSD 10.69.3.1 going to wide release now

You know what's sad? I'm still on 2022.20.19 and I'm not even that excited for this release, because the last several have not been any real improvement in FSD or the interface - particularly the audio streaming..

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

Yup. I think I have it set to Average, but will try chill. Either way, when it sees a line of backed up traffic with stopped cars a few yards in front of it, it shouldn't aggressively accelerate.. but I see there's still plenty for them to do..

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

I've been playing with it since I got it a few days ago. I love the visualizations, but obviously it's not ready for primetime at all. I'm okay with making sure the steering wheel does what it needs to do, but the biggest flaw to me is how it treats forward traffic. I had the gap set to 7 car...

Anyone actually missing trip info and tyre pressure cards more than heated seats and defroster buttons?

That's what happened to me when I got a screw in my tire. It went down like 5 lbs, so I didn't get a notification because I keep my tires at 42 PSI. I just happened to check the tire pressure and saw it was at 37psi, so I checked the tire and found the screw. Fortunately I was close to home, and...

    Trip Info Card

They need to put the tire pressure back where it's not hidden. Every other car that has TPMS has a way of setting a display to show pressure without obstructing everything else. And it does not work with voice command, which makes no sense at all.

Anyone actually missing trip info and tyre pressure cards more than heated seats and defroster buttons?

Yes. Tire pressure changes are the first warning for tire damage like nails or screws, and there's no spare in these cars.

    Elon Musk

Fair enough. "kookytown" might not be the best word to use. My point is not his political leanings but how he's behaving divisively about it in general. A lot of liberals and conservatives have bought his cars and love them. Why you would start calling them names and openly trolling them on...

    Elon Musk

I see a few downvotes, but I'm not really seeing any way that I'm wrong. All you need to do is go back about 5 years and see how he conducted himself and the way he spoke in public and online.

I can't speculate on what is going on with him, but I'm tired of defending him. He's taken the last train to kookytown, and it's terribly disheartening. He has changed and it is not good for all the things that Tesla has accomplished.

Tesla Waze no longer works in browser

Yes, it's annoying and it's been a problem for as long as the geolocation has worked. I've found that rebooting the car os before a trip helps. Not sure after the update. I have a drive this weekend I'll try it out on. Overall it is much faster than it used to be, But now when it relaunches it...

There, was that so hard? Nice to get my important controls back. Could've really used that heat seater button all winter, but I should live in the present and be thankful! Are you on an older firmware? Even on mine (2022.8.3) it can require a refresh and sometimes crashes the browser. But it still works more often than not.

    v11 software update SUCKS

What I'm expecting is to be able to see slow leaks. Why?, Because here's the culprit. And I could have figured it out sooner had I seen it easily. Every TPMS car has a way to make it actually display while driving.

    v11 software update SUCKS

Figured I would dig into the menu to check my tire pressure. 6 lb difference for one tire. Slow leak? Puncture? Who knows? Can't tell from just looking at it. It's supposed to let you know if it gets too low, well how low is that? Thanks for getting rid of the cards Tesla 😠

    Still hate v11

Let's face it, Elon has become more eccentric and as drivers of his cars we are dealing with the consequences. It's not just the UI. Spotty drizzle today in PA and the automatic wipers still don't work because he took something simple like a sensor and made it complicated. A "neural network"...

People defending V11, just stop. You're embarrassing yourselves. This thread will never die as long as the UI shows it's flaws. 2022.8.2

You are correct, sir! I remember waiting for the pre-V11 updates (that never came) because I REALLY wanted Sentry live-view. Finally got it in v11 rollout. As for the TeslaWaze browser crashing, that's also been happening awhile, I've taken to rebooting the car before trips and it seems to help.

    2022.8.2

😂 I hear ya. Unlike Han Solo, I do like to know the odds. Nevertheless, V11 (aside from the UI disaster) broke the geolocation in the browser. Most people didn't care, however I used it a lot and it ruined my ability to use TeslaWaze until several updates later. So while I get your point, it is...

    S3XY buttons at Abstract Ocean

I just found out about this from the "V11 sucks" thread. It is really tempting. I would use one for the glove box, one for chill/normal mode, one for seat heater, and maybe one for mirrors. But it is a chunk of change, and it is a hardware dongle. Also, they are ugly. So I'm hesitant, but I'll...

Yeah, see @jabloomf1230 posts are what I'm talking about. On the surface it simply looks like a dongle that works as an intercept. Surprisingly simple. But it's not a stretch to think it could affect some things you don't want it to. In theory if it does, you should be able to just remove the...

Wow, that's pretty cool. Even if Tesla hadn't fully borked V11 UI (which they did) It's still enticing to have secret buttons that you can program individually. It's tempting, but as another user said it's an invasive component and I don't want to risk that until I have a lot more information.

Boombox killed off - what’s next?

I never had a speaker, so I never had boombox. There are times when I'm trying to get past people walking and they don't know I'm there. I usually just wait, but it would be nice if there was a chime or something. Other than that I prefer my car to be silent the rest of the time.

They fixed the browser geolocation in 2022.4.5 (and didn't break it in 2022.4.5.3). So I'm good, I prefer the car screen view w/ TeslaWaze. TeslAA is cool, but more trouble than it's worth for me. That being said, I don't rule out using it if the situation presents itself.

    Pre-conditioning and recognizing driver

Others might have a better answer, but I'm pretty sure it depends on conditions, like how cold it might be or if your car is outside or in the garage. I feel like the only time I really need to precondition the battery is if I am taking a longish trip and it's cold outside. That being said, I...
