Tesla Insurance Card/Details Where to Find?

It has only showed up on the Tesla Mobile App in the past, but I just noticed it has recently disappeared from the App?? Saw a few other notices that indicated it was gone from others as well. I just sent Tesla Insurance an email looking for an answer. They're still billing my credit card...

Pairing used srs module to new car possible?

Crash Data Recorders (for all cars) are not designed to be "cleared". Once written, the data stays in them. Another used module will contain someone else's data. In some cases a FLASH memory programmer can be used rewrite the entire Flash chip. However, in order for it to function, it must...

2022 Model 3 Front Passenger side Rattle (Glovebox area)

I have a Model Y with a persistent annoying rattle coming from the charging pad in the front of the console. Rattles with or without the phone on it. If I place my finger on it, it stops, but haven't yet found exactly where the rattle is coming from? Anyone else experience this?

    2022.4.5.3

2022.4.5.3. I noticed something odd. I used cruise control and it was normal. But, when I disengaged cruise, the steering wheel icon and SET speed icons stayed ON, but dim. Then, I noticed that sometimes the dim icons would disappear completely, and then reappear for no apparent reason? If...

    Jeda Hub for Model Y

Interesting. Here's what they replied when I advised that only the right socket would power the wireless charger pad. I found it only worked on the right pad. Perhaps having more than 1 phone connected for data at a time confuses the Tesla as to which one to pair with?? "Due to the...

    Jeda Hub for Model Y

Update: After noticing that a refund wasn’t processed to my credit card, and hadn’t had any response from Jeda, I reopened my dispute. They must have contacted Jeda as I got an immediate email that they were sending a replacement. They did, and it was fine, and now finally installed and...

Battery Replacement Nightmare. Would like input!

Questions to ask.... Did anyone unfamiliar drive your car? Such as: parking lot attendant, valet parking, car wash personnel, at the dealer, did anyone need to move your car for any reason, did a family member take the car (authorized or unauthorized) without your knowledge? Was it parked...

iPhone 12 Pro Max and charging

Hmm, yeah see the Qi mention on your link. When I went looking for it on the iPhone tech specs previously, I didn't see it....only the Mag Safe...Even so, the Qi wireless chargers we have do NOT work reliably on my wife's 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 Pro Max and charging

Did some further testing which produced erratic results. My wife has the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and I have the iPhone (10) XS Max. My phone support wireless charging on the Qi charger standard. I have only found info on the Apple.com site that indicates the iPhone 12 ProMax supports the Apple Mag...

    Model Y ride comfort?

Model Y LR DM, 20" wheel option. Rides/Drives firm, but annoyingly so on harsh pavement. I don't mind that much, but my wife complains about the ride. The ride seems comparable to my former BMW X5 with 20" wheel option.

iPhone 12 Pro Max and charging

Maybe its supposed to work, but my wife's new iPhone 12 ProMax does not charge on any of our existing Qi wireless chargers that my iPhone 10 ProMax uses, including the one in the Model Y. Apple's specs on their website for all 12 models states they only support the Mag-safe wireless protocol...

    Jeda Hub for Model Y

FYI, this appears to be a 2 person company after researching it on LinkedIn, the FCC ID website data, and the Stripe Credit Card service that processed my credit card. They do not mention a phone number in any of their marketing materials or in their FCC ID filing. The Stripe link gave a phone...

    Jeda Hub for Model Y

I ordered the Model Y hub on July 1. I received it about a week ago. Upon looking at it closely, it is unusable as the USB C sockets are misaligned with the case preventing the connector to be used. I tried contacting them by phone (disconnected) and email (no reply). I have filed a dispute...

iPhone 12 Pro Max and charging

The new Apple Mag Safe charger on iPhone 12 devices is NOT compatible with the former Qi wireless charging specification. They must be plugged in, or install a MagSafe compatible charger device. I have not seen a Tesla specific MagSafe charger accessory offered by anyone as yet.

Yes, they recommend you secure the phone with a holder. I use a RAM Mount that's quite flexible in mounting locations. It worked Plug n Play with my Carson trailer brakes. Sorry don't have a photo of it in use. Will try to remember to take one next time. I also posted this elsewhere on the...

    Model Y towing/tongue capacity with 20" wheels

FYI, I have a LR Dual Motor Model Y. I also have a 20 ft. dual axle Carson racecar trailer. The trailer is listed by the mfgr. as approximately 2500 lbs. I have towed it twice now with the MY without drama. The Tesla has ample torque. I towed over the local Santa Cruz mountains (1,800 ft.)...

Towing a 13’ Scamp vs 16’ Airstream Basecamp?

Kept it at 55 max, so dismal efficiency. And, being 700 lbs lighter didn’t help on the return trip, so the drag was a big contributor.

    Model Y Brake Controller

I bought a Curt Echo brake controller that required no installation whatsoever. It was plug and play on my Model Y and uses the accelerometer in your smartphone and the touchscreen to manually activate the brakes. The unit plugs between your 7 pin socket and trailer cable. There is a pairing...

Towing a 13’ Scamp vs 16’ Airstream Basecamp?

I just towed for the first time with my Model Y. Here's my experience with it. I have a 20 ft. enclosed Carson race car trailer, which weighs around 2,500 lbs empty. I was hauling about 700 lbs of engine parts and other items that stay in the trailer. The trip was about 58 miles from Aptos...

Tesla Performance Model 3 Laguna Seca new mods and PB

Nice. I have a Model Y on order, hope it is comparable. FYI, I have raced there many times in the Russell series and vintage, and also do driver instruction for various clubs. My lap times are around 1:54 in my 1965 Lotus Cortina Mk1, running on DOT tires, so your times are quite respectable...

2015 Tesla Accelerated into a wall
