First boatload of M3 to Europe

Yeah, Netherlands had a crazy year, I guess TM3s must be all over the place nowadays.
  2. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

One year and 28 boat loads after starting this thread here we are again. Things have changed quite a bit and from literally 0 (zero) TM3’s on the road one year back they have become more and more common sightings here in Switzerland. Approximately 5.000 vehicles in the country easily provide a...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Tesla`s international shipments are looking quite a bit better than the previous quarters. Comparison by the end of the first month into the quarter: Q4 - Tesla already shipped 8 boat loads internationally (4 to Europe) Q3 - Only 4 boat loads shipped till end of July Q2 - 4 boat loads shipped...
  4. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Tesla is starting strong on international shipments. Two already on the way to Europe and two going to Asia - and we are only 2 weeks into the quarter...this quarter will be huge.
  5. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Looks like this is it for Q3-2019 6 vessels to Europe and 3 of them still to arrive. This is one more than during the last quarter. September should be quite a strong month,

    Highest Mileage

Some are over 100k kilometers already... @TeslaMiles
  7. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Glovis Champion will be unloaded tomorrow. Vessel #3, SFL Conductor of the current quarter is underway Vessel #4, Glovis Cosmos is currently being loaded and will likely go to Europe All in all international shipping is so far comparable to the last quarter. The amount of vessels may however...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Vessel #2 for Q3/2019 now on its way to Europe.
  9. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

AIS has been updated. Triumph Ace is going to Europe, ETA Panama is 7/21, Zeebrugge probably around 8/3. It should be cutting off any moment now.
  10. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Don’t think it will take much longer till we will see the first international shipments commence for Q3-2019. A viable candidate to be the first one to start would be the vessel Triumph Ace which is currently on its way from Portland, Oregon to SFO. Vessel details for: TRIUMPH ACE (Vehicles...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Last vessel for the quarter has moored at Zeebrugge and is being unloaded now.
  12. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

GMT Astro, a vehicles carrier is on the way to SFO port, ETA 18th June. Isn’t that too early considering that Tesla wants to keep intransit levels down during quarter cutovers? Or is this vessel just on another mission which is non Tesla related?
  13. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Grand Dahlia has arrived into Zeebrugge. Grand Mark has got about one more week to go.
  14. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Grand Mark reportedly carrying RHD M3 to commence deliveries in the UK, please check out below link. Reportedly a ship carrying RHD Tesla Model 3s is headed for the UK
  15. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

It appears that the last carriers for this quarter have left SFO port to their international destination. Comparing last quarter to the current one it seems like Tesla has learned a lesson with too many M3s being intransit while the cutover date. Last quarter four vessels into Asia and three...

    Bloomberg tracker has been retired

Just realized that the Bloomberg tracker that was trying to follow and track the Model 3 production has been retired today. It was pretty accurate in the beginnings but at the end of Q1/2019 they were off with their prediction by a big margin - maybe that discouraged them from continuing.
  17. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Asian Glory is going to Portland now, that’s pretty puzzling... For the next two vessels time wise it will get tight to load, cross the Ocean and unload with sufficient time to deliver in the quarter still. Last quarter the latest vessels left SFO towards end of February/early March and it was...
  18. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

COSCO Tengfei has already left Pier 80 after less than 24 hours and is on its way to China.
  19. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Please check out below link: Tesla Carriers I found it to be pretty reliable and well maintained. Don’t know the nice people though who keep track of all the details- found it on a random site which I don’t recall.

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Grand Phoenix is going to Europe after more than three days loading time at SFO. The vessel is probably heavily loaded with M3, would estimate up to 5k units. Morning Cornelia is drifting without a defined goal yet for almost 5d just outside Zeebrugge. It has been unloaded already but still...
  21. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Morning Cornelia ETA, 5/8 @6am CET Asian King has just moored @Pier 80. We shall see whether it’s for EU or China. NOCC Oceanic should pass Panama in the next 72 hours, AIS info is still wrong.
  22. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Finally a vessel (Cornelia Morning) has docked at Pier 80 for loading. Gut feel tells me it’s going to China. I have no further proof for it than that the other “morning” ships also went to China.
  23. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

New quarter has just started. Curious to see how many vessels are going to ship to Europe. My guess would be 12?
  24. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

All of the eight Q1-2019 vessels have arrived into Zeebrugge in the meantime. Would expect to see even more arriving into Europe next quarter as China may not be as viable any more due to the tax conflict. I think it will take far into April till all the M3 will have been delivered to the...
  25. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Viking Adventure is now on the way to Europe as ship #8. Assuming an average of 2.5k-3k units per vessel the overall deliveries for Europe should add up to ballpark 20-25k for Q1-2019. Looking back at the US ramp last year end of March in Europe will probably feel like end of April in the US in...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Oh yes, you’re right it still hasn’t moved yet indeed. When I checked it, I saw the speed at 0.7 knots, so maybe a short term AIS issue. It seems like Glovis Star is already waiting and killing time by going in circles right outside the bay.
  27. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Grand Venus, loaded with 4.000 M3 is now on its way to Zeebrugge. CSCC is now passing western Spain heading into the Biscayan Sea.
  28. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Grand Venus is now mooring at Pier 80. AIS is already stating 3/16 in Zeebrugge, so this one would be vessel #6 headed to Europe. PS: Don Juan has left Benicia and is now heading to Panama. Coincidence? Don’t think Tesla has got a second port to ship M3’s from and the community most likely...
  29. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Are we done with International shipments for this quarter? I remember Tesla stating concerns about having too many cars intransit at the end of the quarter as those cars won’t count as sales. It takes about 23 days to ship from SFO to Europe and apparently a little less than that to China...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

    - Second vehicle carrier to Europe (Glovis Cosmos) arrived into Zeebrugge about 8 hours ago - Third vehicle carrier to Europe (Grand Aurora) is passing the Azores Islands (roughly 4 days away from Zeebrugge) - Fourth vehicle carrier to Europe (CSCC Europe) has passed through the Panama Channel...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

At the time Glovis Captain was still in SFO and the drone photo was shot someone counted 1.140 M3 which may have been right. Problem though is that this was just a snapshot which doesn’t account for the amount of cars that were already on board nor the cars that still were in route from Fremont...
  32. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Glovis Captain left Zeebrugge already within less than 24 hours and is now heading to Bremerhaven/ Germany. Was that sufficient time to unload all M3 or will they stop again later eg. in Dramen/ Norway? Questions over questions. Morning Cindy has left for China, ETA 2/20. Hot candidate for...

First boatload of M3 to Europe

The first vessel arrived and... quietness. No cars have been seen on a truck or any other movement around the vessel has been reported yet. Hopefully tomorrow will provide some more insight and transparency on what is going on.

First boatload of M3 to Europe

The floodgates have opened and this is just the beginning: Glovis Captain: arrived 2/5 Glovis Cosmos: ETA 2/9 Grand Aurora: ETA 2/15 CSCC Europe: around 2/22 and a lot more to come...

  36. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

ETA for Glovis Captain improved by 5 hours. Now it is scheduled to arrive on 5th Feb. 3am. 35 hours to go.
  37. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Nice, vessel #4 now on its way to Europe, CSCC Europe. It took a long time to load, probably this one is particularly full with M3.
  38. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Marinetraffic now states a new arrival date, 2/5 8am. That’s a bummer and it seems like the drunken captain on the CAPTAIN is indeed a possible reason for the delay.
  39. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Next vehicles carrier is moored at Pier 80, CSCC Europe. Where is the journey going to, Europe or Asia? I am sure we will know soon.
  40. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

First AIS signal after a week. Glovis Captain is now passing the Azores Islands.
  41. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Less than 100 hours till first arrival. Countdown has started!
  42. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

    Interesting stuff, thanks for posting!
  43. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Problem is that the AIS range is rather limited. A well positioned stationary AIS station might grant 50 miles but that’s about it. Once the vessel gets closer to land or a relevant Island like the Azores there is a chance to get an update.

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Just did some maths: It took Glovis Captain 8d 15hrs to travel from SF to Balboa (PA). Considering the distance (3.330 miles) it travels at about 16 miles per hour. At this hour we are 182 hours (7d 14 hrs) away from the ETA in Zeebrugge. Doing the maths the vessel is now slightly shy of 3.000...
  45. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Correction: Glovis Symphony is going to China, ETA 2/10.
  46. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Glovis Captain passed the Canal and is now only one Ocean away. Glovis Cosmos is following just one week apart with probably even more M3 loaded. Glovis Symphony is arriving into SF port at 5pm local time - picking up more M3. The pipeline is filling more and more, soon there will be a 10k-15k...
  47. E

First boatload of M3 to Europe

Glovis Captain is supposed to arrive at Panama today. More than curious to see what the next port of call is going to be. Exciting!
