Do u see cars coming toward u on the left on the screen?

I feel like they used to show up better than they do now.

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

That may be part of it, but it's certainly not all of it. Most of the noise I'm referring to was wind noise coming from the windshield. I also had two different pairs of tires on my LR (stock and Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus), and while the Pilot Sports were slightly quieter and definitely handled...

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

Road noise is less, but I think that's just because of the better build quality on the new car. I don't really watch efficiency, but I imagine it's worse on the P3 because I mash the pedal more. :D I'll keep the stock 20s (love them now that they're powdercoated). Not sure yet if I'll get a...

P3D+ owners.. how often do you mash the pedal at stoplights?

Every time my wife isn't in the car. She's not a fan of extreme acceleration.

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

Sounds like they still match non-Tesla trade-ins. Some more differences: New car doesn't have the rainbow effect on the glass roof panels when they get wet. New car didn't come with cables for phone charging. They let me take the ones out of my old car though.

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

Initial post was after only driving it home from the dealership (about 30 miles). Got a little more time in today, do here's a couple more things I've noticed 1. Screen has a greyish tint. I initially thought it was a problem with the screen, but when I open the web browser, whites are...

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

I checked that and the EQ. I think it's just that the speakers are brand new. Most speakers take little bit to break in.

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

They stopped matching CarMax a few weeks ago, so you're either going to take what they give you, or sell on your own. Since taxes are so high here, it made more sense for me to sell to Tesla (since I only pay the difference between trade-in and the new one's cost).

LR AWD to P3D: Initial thoughts

Just picked up my P3D last night, and have noticed some pretty significant differences (not just acceleration) between the two cars, and wanted to share my thoughts for anyone else considering it. First, the cars: My "old" car was a Pearl White Dual Motor Long-Range. 18" Aeros. Delivery was...

What did you name your Tesla?

Going from white to MSM. My lucky number is 13, so I'm trying to incorporate it into some names. Considering these: Luc13 (lucy or lucky) beast13 bansh13 steel13 boog13 stiff13 (haha) yipp13 Also considering blitz, deviant, and plutonium

Stock tires wearing faster than expected?

To quote myself: Always ask about treadlife warranty. My stock tires are at 3/32 after 13k miles. Discount Tire (well... Michelin) is crediting $200 toward the purchase of new Michelin tires. I ordered a set of Pilot Sport A/S 3s.

Stock tires wearing faster than expected?

It's worth asking. I just had to replace tires on my wife's Audi, and got about $400 towards the new tires (any brand) because the OEMs didn't last anywhere near their warranty before wearing out. I'll be asking about these too since the Primacy are supposed to last 60k miles and I'm at 13k...

How to install vinyl over your door opening switches.

Finally took a couple of pictures of the white button. I'm betting it would look great with a white interior! I probably could have lined up the cutout for the light a little bit better, but I was hurrying trying to get it on to get some pictures for you guys.

    Clear Bra Connection / Denver

I did get it done, and I'm happy with it. He trimmed around the logo on the hood, and rounded all the corners of the wrap so nothing catches a corner of it. 3M has been doing this a long time, and I don't doubt the quality of the product. I've had it on several other cars and haven't had any...

How to install vinyl over your door opening switches.

I believe that Kenriko was the one who originally posted them. His template has ALL the pieces for around the door. I only wanted the door switch piece though, so I modified the template in the Silhouette (the vinyl cutter brand I have) software so it's just door switches. A bunch of them fit...

How to install vinyl over your door opening switches.

So, I downloaded the template for the door panel switches to use with my vinyl cutter. I originally used some scrap vinyl I had laying around (the light, matte red color below), but after doing that as a test run, I've now cut matte white, glossy white, and the red in this install (which is...

Has anyone tried to Plasti dip their wooden trim?

I saw a picture yesterday or the day before of someone who had done it. Can't remember if I saw it here, the Model 3 owners forum, or on the local Tesla Facebook club... Anyway, it looked really good.

A door button that can't be overlooked

I'm planning on stopping at the hobby store (or 2) on the way home tonight. I'm going to pick up the glossy white and see if I can find a green that I like. I'll probably print off a page each of matte white and glossy white tonight (and green if I can find it). It's pretty easy to print off...

A door button that can't be overlooked

Did a test run, using some matte red vinyl I had laying around, to check the fit using the template. It looks like these basically lay right on top of the button without having to wrap around and fit well. Lining them up wasn't too bad either since they have the cut out for the light and you...

    Anyone paint their Aero hubcaps?

So, the green is too much (and the camera didn't pick it up that well), but the white looks MUCH nicer than I expected.

Starting to regret FSD pre-purchase in a major way

I only even considered it when they announced that you'd get the new computer for "free" when released. I think we'll see that long before actual FSD. Ended up not ordering it.

Tesla/WeatherTech trunk mat - not exact fit?

It has a cutout for the loop used to pull up the recessed trunk area. It's also fairly flexible. No issue getting into the recessed area.

Those are still just the frunk/trunk mats, not interior mats. Unless you're seeing something different than I am.

Is Priming or sanding needed when Plasti Dipping Aero wheels?

Nope. I usually just do a light first coat, and heavier coats after that.
  36. C

    Anyone paint their Aero hubcaps?

I usually order from here DipYourCar - World Famous Peelable Auto Paint or Amazon. I prefer Amazon if they have the color I want since I can usually get it in 2 days with Prime.

    Console Wrap Experiences

If I was doing my own, I'd look at 3M Di-Noc. They have a TON of different patterns and colors. When I did some stuff to my CTS-V, I was able to get free samples (well, I paid for shipping) of it from vendors who were selling it, so that may be worth looking into if you are undecided between...

    Anyone paint their Aero hubcaps?

In the process of painting mine Blaze Green (plastidip), which requires a base coat. So right now they're white. I'll post up a pic of the white (on and off the car) when I get a chance, and a pic of them in Blaze Green, which is basically neon green, when they're done.

    Aero wheels

This is the one I saw recommended to do it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015T58AUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I ordered (and received) one, but haven't tried it out yet. It's sitting in the house still in its plastic bag.

Colorado waiting room - M3 Performance AWD or non-Perf AWD

I didn't get a response. I called a couple days after to make sure it was received (it was). They said that mobile service would be taking care of my turn signal issue, but that they had changed how they were dealing with body shop issues and that the body shop they were using was backed up...

    Aero wheels

I will. I just put on a couple of light coats of Plastidip on last night of my base color (white). Planning on working on them some more today. I'll post pics when they're done (hopefully this weekend sometime).

Model 3 Aero Wheel Cap Kit

I have the Tesla kit on my car, but didn't even think of checking the Amazon options for lug nut covers. They have all different colors, glow in the dark ones, and all sorts of fun stuff. May have to order a couple of different kinds.

Tesla Service Paint Repair/Repaint Experiences...Please Share

Called the service center and they said that they've recently changed how they are doing these. They're sending them to a body shop, and they're backed up about a month. So, it's going to be a while for me.
