Safety restraint system fault - Fixed

Just had this happen and tells wants over $500 to fix it. The worse part is that they already fixed it 2 time prior. One time under warranty and another time out of "good will". Now they want me to pay for something they should have fixed the first time.

M3P OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs 4S

Yes! Please reread my original post. Different size, but same make and model of tire. To summarize Michelin Pilot Sport 4S OEM Tesla 235/35/20 - no basketball bouncing-like noise Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/45/18 - basketball bouncing-like noise is present And for good measure Michelin...

M3P OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs 4S

Actually it is. It's a night and day difference when I switch between the tires with foam and without. Also, when I bounce the tire/wheel on the ground and hear the basketball-like noise then that is another confirmation that the pinging low frequency sound is caused by the tire without the foam.
  7. O

Looking for a quiet /comfortable 20” tire for daily / spirited driving

If you are concerned with noise, then definitely get a tire with foam. I can hear a major difference in the pinging noise (think about the sound a basketball makes when it hits the ground) over bumps and expansion joints between my PS4S without foam and my OE-Tesla PS4S with foam.

M3P OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs 4S

I have the non-Tesla spec Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/45/18 on some lightweight wheels (TC105N). It performs as expected however I would not get it again for the simple fact that it doesn't have the tire foam. The road noise is substantially more without the foam, especially the high frequency...

Sway Bars, End Links, and Rear Control Arms Installation & Impression

I hate to post this here but you guys are not being communicative. I ordered an efficiency spoiler in August 2019 and paid for it. MPP AWD/Performance Coilover Impression and Installation

That would be a nice piece to replace given the amount of weight reduction, but no I'm talking about the whole motor and suspension carrier that is made from steel. Some cars come with aluminum subframes to save weight (e.g. Audi RS3, Accord Hybrid)
  15. O

MPP AWD/Performance Coilover Impression and Installation

How about a blue aluminum subframe?

    Zero-G wheels have different offsets

Probably for aesthetics. +6mm in the rear would make the rear wheel have a similar clearance from wheel face to fender as the front.

Tesla Model 3 Performance Sets New Track Record At Buttonwillow

There is about 10mm of material missing from both sides making it look poorly designed or manufactured. It does not cover the full width of the original bumper around the sides. This is not just on my particular copy. You can see this on many pictures people post online. There was no way to...

Reduced Range - Tesla Issued a Service Bulletin for possible fix

My 3P+ was manufacturerd 08/18. My max charge was 308 miles. I never saw 310 miles. I'm currently sitting at 40,000 miles with 70.3 kWh nominal capacity and 284 miles at 100% charge. Like others on here, my range decrease happened overnight after a software update.

There is no ideal number. It reduces over time as your mileage increases. Usually 1% for every 10,000 miles. Mine is at 70.3 kWh with 40,000 miles on my 3P+.

Would an aero wheel cover for the 20” performance wheels make sense?

The problem with 17's is finding XL rated tires and clearing brakes.

Would an aero wheel cover for the 20” performance wheels make sense?

This is Franz von Holzhausen's Model 3 (Model 3 designer). I guess they were testing it; these pictures were taken shortly after the Model 3 was released. There was not any information released. Just these spy shots.

Is the Unplugged Performance high efficiency trunk spoiler the best Model 3 spoiler?

I ordered in August with only 1 email from Ben explaining the delay and stating they were expecting it before the end of the year then no updates after that. Coasting in Neutral

Would an aero wheel cover for the 20” performance wheels make sense?

Aero snap on pieces. If you look inside of the 20" wheels, there is a ridge inside that looks like a provision for some sort of snap in attachment.

Will 18" Aero wheel fit a car with Performance big brakes?

On my 18x8.5" Weds Sport TC105N the clearance is even closer and shows sign of scoring on the inner barrel of the wheels. With the OEM 18" wheels the clearance is about 1mm more and so far shown no signs of scoring. The aero covers likely help in keeping debris out as well.

  47. O

Will 18" Aero wheel fit a car with Performance big brakes?

No need to see where to shave the caliper. Just stack sticky backed sand paper onto the inside of the wheel and spin it around until about 2mm of clearance is achieved. The wheel and sand paper shaves the exact areas needed. No guesswork or figuring anything out required. Sorry no pictures...
