    Supercharger - Salem, NH

At least they haven’t been fired. Yet.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Let's hope someone opens up some charging in Virginia. The only one close is a 2 stall Ford charger in Eveleth. It's maintained my Ford so who knows how long it's going to be operational.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Or ever. They had such good momentum with an experienced team. Even is Elon changes his mind it will take years to build the team back up. Mind boggling move.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Agree. This is hugely disappointing. Basically means the supercharger map won’t change for a long time. We just have to hope other networks start building off the highway corridors.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

This doesn't sound good at all. The supercharger network is by far the largest EV charing network in the US. Stopping the supercharger expansion or even delaying it is going to be a disaster in EV adoption. I hope there is a plan behind this and not just Elon being Elon.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Any thoughts on the rumor that Tesla had laid off the majority of their supercharger team? Doesn't bode well for getting new supercharger locations anytime soon.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

That's what it looks like. Hopefully we see a couple of permits in the next few weeks.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

It's been a couple of months. Any word on new chargers starting up? Permitting? Construction?

    Supercharger - Rockland, ME

The magic dock in Ames Iowa showed the same thing for a week or two so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Supercharger - Worthington, MN - Oxford Street

Either CCS or NACS would be good with me as soon as Tesla opens up their network. I do t even own a Tesla. Just interested in new supercharger locations since I’ll be able to use them soon.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

That will help a ton. Thanks. Hopefully we get some more fast chargers in the area too.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Interesting. I don't see it on PlugShare but maybe I'm missing it somehow.

Supercharger - Worthington, MN - Oxford Street

I head up to Vermilion every year from Colorado and it still amazes me that Virginia doesn't have a working fast charger. The ZEF one has been broken for over a year. The only one near is the one ZEF charger Chisholm. Putting a Supercharger or CCS charger in the Target parking lot of Virginia...

Virginia would be amazing for me too.

    batteries vs generator

I'm guessing some or a lot of people will get batteries since they don't want to burn natural gas. I'll never buy another gas powered device again so my only choice would be batteries. But I only lose power about once a year for an hour at most so I don't have a battery backup.

    SolarEdge Monitoring

I have the same thing going. I just asked SolarEdge for an account and access and they gave it to me. Didn't even have to talk to Telsa.

Power from solar tiles seems crazy high

Exactly. A similar sized solar panel system is going to out perform a solar roof. A bunch of the solar roof is probably north facing so not as ideal.

Power from solar tiles seems crazy high

Do you have a solar roof or just solar panels? Am 11kW solar roof will have less production than 11kW of south facing solar panels.

1 gallon of generator fuel gets me how many miles?

Not sure if this was already said but a gallon of gasoline has about 33.7 KWh of energy. So that's the most you could get if the generator was 100% efficient which we know is not the case. Assuming 20% efficiency that's only 6.75 KWh of energy for your EV. For an EV like a model Y that would...

Anyone else going to trade their Model 3 for Cybertruck?

The other question should be is Tesla going to lower the price of the M3 if the truck comes out with those specs and price! I would assume that the truck has a minimum of 100 kWh battery. Elon must be assuming he can get battery costs down 25% in two years.

    CybrTrk, greater than 250kw Supercharging?

That would be perfect. I would fit that profile of mostly commuter and towing a camper or boat a few times a year. That would be the biggest feature for me vs. the Rivian.
  22. E

Why a rated range instead of a rated efficiency?

Also I think you need to have a number that is bigger for better just like MPG in order for the general public to understand. If they quickly look at 28 vs. 42 they will think that the 42 kwh/100 mi is better. That's another reason why they came up with MPGe.

    Tesla launching Solar Roof V3

In Colorado roofs probably last less than 15 years on average due to hail damage. I wonder if the Tesla roof would hold up to hail better than the asphalt shingles.

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I asked both Tesla and SolarEdge to give me access to the solar edge monitoring website. After about a month the SolarEdge people gave me access and now I can see per panel production. Tesla didn't want to help at all. And I found that one of my panels is not producing anything but Tesla has...

Mercedes EQS Sedan: Rival to Tesla Model S

So BMW, Mercedes and Audi aren't high end? Tesla Model 3 has taken a ton of sales away from the BMW 3-Series. I agree in that the more EVs the better. Need to get some cheaper options in the next few years to finally get the masses to buy EVs.

Electric Pickup Roundup: Musk Says Tesla Truck 'Not Like Anything Else'

I'm really looking forward to the Tesla truck. I hope they make it in the next few years. I'm not a typical truck person, I really don't "need" a truck but have always wanted one for outdoor activities but have never bought one because of the sucky gas mileage. With an electric truck I will...

SolarEdge HD Wave has 'PWR Limit' set 20% below system capacity

If your panels are in different planes (east, west, south) then it probably won’t matter since you aren’t producing over 7600 watts at the same time.

    Tesla Solar inverters

About the same here in Colorado. $3.20 per watt
