    Battery Fuse replacement warning

Tesla just informed me that the Battery Fuse service is covered under the 8 year HV Battery Warranty in my 2017 Model S 75D. They even scheduled the service and said it is a same day fix. Glad I did not get charged for this! It does seem like a safety issue, so even if the battery warranty ran...

    Driver's Seat Back Incline Changed/Broken?

I also have this problem on my 2017 Model S 75D. It's easy to spot because the passenger side seat can go much more vertical than the driver's side.

Central Valley CA (Modesto) to LA in a Model 3

Correction: The V2 superchargers are increasing from 120KW max to 145KW max (not 100 to 125). Tesla will gradually roll that change out starting this spring: Tesla begins to unlock V2 Supercharger's 145 kW charge rate in new software roll out

Central Valley CA (Modesto) to LA in a Model 3

One thing you can do (suggested by TeslaBjorn on youtube) is put 19" wheels on the performance model 3 after buying. He thinks that will increase the efficiency to be the same as the model 3 dual motor, since the performance and dual motor are essentially using the same motor and battery. Not...

    Autopilot Shortcomings and Limitations

I just drove 300 highway miles, mostly on autopilot in my Model 3. Here are my top 2 observations: 1) When you are in the right lane and a car comes up an on-ramp to your left, often motorists enter the highway 10-20 MPH slower than the flow of traffic. The autopilot completely misses the...

Battery runs out with 16% indicated range remaining

I also think this is fairly normal. I have a Model S 60D that was upgraded to 75D and uncorked, as well as a Model 3 Performance. They both have limited regen at 50F. It has to be about 55-60F to avoid this. I generally notice the warning from the start of driving, and sometimes it goes off...

What Wh/mi are you getting with AWD and P cars?

Jay- Totally agree! The P3D+ is way more fun than the V8 Mustang GT that I used to have without the wallet-draining climate-killing 13MPG drinking habit. Have some fun! But be careful with all that speed. It's addictive.

    Accident Prevented

JeffK, It all happened in less than a second so it's hard to recall exactly, but I think I pressed about halfway to the floor while watching my driver side mirror and felt the beginning of a lurch forward and then a sudden pullback with the audible warning. The M3 definitely applied the brakes...

What Wh/mi are you getting with AWD and P cars?

My 2018 P3D with 20" wheels has 700mi on it with a lifetime average of 319Wh/mi. If you remove the 1st exciting lead-footed week from that, it is at 310 Wh/mi for the last 450 mi. I mainly commute on surface streets in the San Jose CA area. I have not been driving for efficiency since it is...

    Accident Prevented

Last Thursday I nearly got into an accident with my new M3 Performance, but the car intervened with flashing red signals , an audible warning and sudden decelleration before I hit someone. I was trying to merge onto an expressway with a very short ramp and traffic was stopped in front of me in...
