I didn't realize that FasTrak has a referral program! The referrer will get $10 credit once the person who used the code has kept their account open for 60 days. Referral Terms - Metro ExpressLanes I'm in the process of setting up my account now. If someone sends me their code I'll happily...

Scared of taking the Model 3 out? Am/was I alone?

It's the most expensive anything I've ever owned. It's also my very first car so my emotions are a strong concoction of excitement, anxiety, and paranoia. Unfortunately, I don't see it dampening down much anytime soon, but I'm coping for the time being.

Scared of taking the Model 3 out? Am/was I alone?

NEVVVVER! :p I wish I had my Fitbit. I'd definitely be in the top 95th percentile for steps given my parking behaviors recently. My favorite move is the "just the tip" of straddling the parking line so that I'm 75% in one spot and 25% in the other while also being about a football field away...

Scared of taking the Model 3 out? Am/was I alone?

Am I the only one that was actually, dare I say, scared of taking their new baby out for the first time? I have to admit I was so incredibly excited to receive my car that I almost didn't want to drive it off of the lot. LA drivers are notoriously THE worse and the idea of an accident before...

Front License plate mount on TM3

So simple. Love it. Heading to Lowes in a few to grab some along with weather stripping to protect where the frame meets the car and some cleaning supplies.

    Mid Range waiting room

I'm writing to confirm this info. I'm on a time sensitive deadline (no car and have to commute to a new job) so I went in to the showroom today. My Owner Advisor said they're just really ramping up production of the M3 Mid-Range and said that I'd receive a VIN within 2-3 weeks and from today I...

Epidemic of Model 3 small window break-ins

What will the damage to your wallet be? Also is it pre or post insurance?

Epidemic of Model 3 small window break-ins

First, dying @ "Walking Meth" Second, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but would it really be better to leave change in the car and the doors unlocked?? Part of me thinks if you live somewhere that's prone to these incidents it may not be a bad idea. other ideas include being a good...

Epidemic of Model 3 small window break-ins

Smashing the rear window too?! I'm seriously having chest pains. That's a really smart idea for valet mode. That or a key lock seem like reasonable improvements. Maybe there's an after market item that can be purchased? Until then, good idea of just leaving a seat down to show there's nothing...

Epidemic of Model 3 small window break-ins

Wouldn't the car alarm go off the moment they attempt to open the door from reaching inside of the car? Also they wouldn't be able to open the frunk or drive away, right? I'm not discounting how much it sucks to have a broken window, but trying to understand where the alarm and anti-theft...

Well, I Rejected my White P3D-

After looking over this post a few times, it looks like the seat buckle may have been slammed in the door accidentally. Either way, I hope that everything works out for you and quickly. The good news is that you have the car in your possession and can slowly work through the issues while under...

    Medium Range VIN Tracker

It's also a sticky at the top of the Order, Production, and Delivery thread. It's a great resource for getting a sense of how things are trending. Model 3 Order Tracking Spreadsheet

    Medium Range VIN Tracker

Congrats! I'm happy for you, but also surprised that a Colorado customer is receiving before California. According to the tracking sheet, there are 22 people in Cali that ordered the Model 3 mid-range. Of the 22, 15 have reservations and none have had VINs or delivery dates given yet. *wanders...

    Mid Range waiting room

Yes, the insurance I've taken into consideration and it has been easier to get those quotes and plan. I've been trying to think about the amount of money I need to free up; with the VIN assignments and delivery dates up in the air, I know I have to start doing those now. By the way, I was told...

    Mid Range waiting room

Hey @rjdoc74, there were no other items included? I've been racking my brain about other fees such as license, registration, breathing the air from the distribution center, or anything else for that matter and how much extra to have on hand.

    Mid Range waiting room

Since we're all waiting, let's talk taxes and fees. As I've already said, I'm new to buying car (and also new to LA). I'm trying to wrap my head around the taxes and other fees that I'll have to pay for the car. I purchased online so I really have no idea of how to anticipate these costs. I'm...

    Mid Range waiting room

I've been resisting every urge to call or email until I've let at least two weeks past since my order. My obsession has reached new heights since I pulled the trigger. Anyone else have strategies for coping? Or some interesting content to share for distraction?

The layout of the account page makes it seem like insurance is necessary for the order to continue. The user experience, largely due to the UI, isn't as clear as it could be. Thanks for the feedback!

    Mid Range waiting room

Newbie here! (Both to Tesla and purchasing a car o_O) I placed my order on October 18th: Mid-range with rear wheel drive. Midnight Silver with black interior. 18’’ aero wheels and I plan to remove the caps for city driving. Enhanced auto pilot. Now to figure out insurance. I've never had...
