New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

This is my thought. It's a factory accessory that became standard in mid '16. My car was built in January of '16, so it didn't come with it standard, but it's made and installed by Tesla. That's like swapping out Arachnid wheels.

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

Yeah. And I pointed out to them that their manual states that tires should be replaced in pairs for staggered wheel set-ups, so this goes against their own service manual. The issue is that I flew to Houston to pick it up and refusing it would have cost me 2 days of vacation, a hotel that night...

Yes, the Rear Passenger Tire and both on the Driver Side are Michelin. The Front Passenger Tire is Continental.

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

I now have the car and it's great. A lot of the defects in the photos weren't on the car when I got it. I had to check the VIN to be sure it was the same car. I guess a little wash removed what was reported as scuffs and stains. Timeline: I placed deposit on Saturday, 11/3. Sales person...

    CPO (used) prices

It really is mind boggling. I bought a P90DL in Houston for $73,300 last week. It had 22,700 miles and was basically mint condition. The "Discount" column showed more than a $20,000 discount. There was one in Missouri that was closer to me that was exactly the same, with about 26,000 miles that...

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

I filled everything out online within about an hour of placing my deposit, I'm paying cash and have no trade in, so I'm hoping for a quick pick-up date. The DS emailed me last night, so that is encouraging. I'm hoping to pick it up tomorrow or Friday. I travel for work all next week, so it'll be...

Buyer beware. Buying a CPO Tesla feels like a SCAM.

I've been very upset that they were forcing me to fly down to sign in person and wouldn't let me pay to have it transported to me. This thread has shown me why. Clearly they have a lot of bad experiences with this new CPO program and having people look at it in-person at the service center and...

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

Thank you for this. It's encouraging after reading a ton of bad experiences. How long did it take for the delivery specialist to contact you after you placed your deposit? I am reading that it was as much as 30 days for some people and I was hoping to pick up my car later this week.

Buyer beware. Buying a CPO Tesla feels like a SCAM.

Wow, I am now enlightened after reading every word in the first 19 pages of this thread. I was upset that I put a deposit down on Saturday and on Tuesday evening, I still haven't heard from a DS. I'm super shocked to learn that my car might be out there as a loaner and I might not hear from a DS...

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

Man, that's a tough one. After the stories I've read, I'm definitely going to need to see the car first. I did get an incredibly detailed, hi-res set of photos with close-ups of damage. However, after the stories I've read, I want to be sure that's all there is.

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

Thanks for the suggestion on this. My understanding is that they will let people look at the vehicle, but not get in it or drive it. I'm not sure I'd get the $200 out of the service. But, I'll talk to my DS as soon as I get one. I've been told that it is already at the Houston Pickup location...

New CPO Buyer Looking for Help in Houston

I've placed a deposit down on a CPO 2016 Model S P90DL with 22K miles that is currently in Houston. My buying experience has been quite bad so far with a horrible sales associate. I'm now reading CPO nightmare after nightmare in these forums. I live in NW Arkansas, about 600 miles from Houston...

Officially part of the Model S family! (and tips for those who are looking at CPO/USED models)

Man, good for you. My CPO purchase experience could not have been more different. I just bought a 2016 S P90DL with 22K miles. The whole experience screamed, "You're lucky that we are allowing you to buy one of our cars." I'm trusting that the ownership experience will be better than the...

CPO purchased finally! P85D with low miles

Congrats! I placed my order on Saturday and still have not heard from the delivery specialist, even though I was told they would call me over the weekend. I have to drive 9.5 hours each way to get it (NW Arkansas down to Houston) and am only available this week, so I'm nervously crossing my...
