Ya, my new TMC acronym: RWFI (Reboot Will Fix It). Usually.

Anyone receive a 14-30 adapter yet?

Flasher, your point that the unconscionable delay in providing the adapter exposes TM to at least indirect responsibility for Franken-fires should really put the fear of Dog into them. It needs to at the very least communicate very clearly and forcefully to all current and prospective owners...

That's obviously an after-market air intake! Silly.

    Firmware 4.1 Issues

tomas, apparently updates are downloaded opportunistically, when you are out and about, stored, and only then are you prompted to install. Connectivity during install is secondary or irrelevant, therefore.

    Setting Up Your Garage

You might want to reconsider that. IIRC, the advice was given not to store tires vertically, to avoid "flat spots" developing. The rack doesn't rest the treads on the floor, of course, but the support bars ...

Implicit in being able to schedule time and level of charging. Start a low level charge at that point. With the added bonus of being able to add cabin heating.

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

Manners, manners. Ownership tells me it didn't make it out of prototype and into production ... yet. To start, the FOB currently merely needs to be in range, currently, and profiles are strictly manual. (A default Enter - Exit profile is in the works but not high on the priority list...

    random chitchat

It is marketing 'gospel' and habit and policy that prices must end in 5 or 9 - "The Rule of 5 and 9". Supposedly, the consumers' attention span fades after the 1st few digits, so $5999.99 is perceived as $5000 or $5900, instead of $6000 - 1¢, etc.

    Black/Tan Photos (#1299)

Don't know from iPhone, but you can kb edit, without highlighting with your mouse/pointer. Hold the Shift key down, and use the cursor keys to highlight. Whether text or pix. Then "delete" takes it away!

We need a Randomizer Design Gallery; hold down a spin button for a mo', and release. Round and round it goes ...! And a random mix of colours and options comes up. Hours of fun for kids and grownups! The genius of the TM designers: it's very hard to come up with a lousy combo.

    Winter Driving Experiences

I think the reason TM made the default for the battery during charging is to "keep itself warm" is that, without a pre-set departure time, it's possible the driver will arrive at any time and set off. I.e., drive with a cold battery, which is the least desirable outcome. That same issue is why...

Not true. It can locate which one is in the driver's seat; there are multiple receivers in the car.

    Model S Software/Firmware Updates

Updates to updates to updates ... If updates are delayed until there are no issues unaddressed by the "next update" it will never come out. The perfect easily becomes the enemy of the good. OTOH, issuing a badly buggy update is a sure path to running faster and faster to stay where you are (in...

Connectivity: When is iPhone/Android app coming out?

I sometimes wonder what inspires tags, monikers, screen names. I tried to narrow down srafail, and was left with a few reasonable candidates. I sort of suspect the last one, as an indirect reference to Iron Man!

    Firmware 4.1 Issues

I'd been about to say that in the biz, beta testers know they are, are warned they are, and are advised not to rely on beta products for mission-critical tasks. And that normally, they number in the hundreds, not thousands. I believe TM went through some time (year, 2 years?) of beta testing...

    Winter Driving Experiences

Yes; cold air, even at 100% humidity, gains a great deal of water-capacity when warmed. If it's low humidity cold air, it becomes quite ravenous, as many people's pelts (mine, e.g.) can attest. (:cursing::mad: Glycerin helps, though, as it strongly latches onto water and resists evaporation...

Would you Buy Model S if it had an ICE instead of Electric?

+ 3/4 You're probably right enough, and yet, and yet ... Toyota just proclaimed it will stick with hybrids till some other fast-fill tech appears, like hydrogen for fuel cells, etc. European mfrs. are delaying, downscaling, or de facto abandoning EV iniatives. So the market from the supplier...

    Service Scheduling Problems?

Driving my Model S in extreme winter conditions

Actually, the answer is, "Not yet." The promised app, apparently already OKed by Apple, will/should be able to do that; the Android version is not yet approved, though, and TM wants to release both together. In the meantime, the key battery "work-around" is to arrange that the car is still...
