I have wire brushed, and painted mine silver with hi temp/exhaust paint. I have done this on all my cars and seems to be holding up well.

I've had my Roadster for 4 years now and admittedly, have only charged at home at 240V and on the road using generic J1772 setups. There is a track day at Buttonwillow that I was thinking about going to, but realistically, if I drive the Roadster there, I'd have to charge along the way and...

Thanks for replying. What do you mean log into it locally? The VDS (screen in the car) operates normally. What/how do I reboot? I have closed the app multiple times with no success. This screen is frozen except that the days continue to add up.

Can someone tell me how I can reset my OVMS... it is stuck on this screen.

Probably some sort of scam... they have since been removed.

No, I don't have to run the spacers up front for clearance, just aesthetics. With the greater offset of the rear rims on the front, they sat in more. But, it still clears the calipers.

Are you asking about my setup in post #8? If so, I running spacers on the front (10mm I think) and none in the rear. I can just barely see some micro touching on the rear inner fender liner.

IT'S ALIVE!!! Many thanks to Mark and this forum. Don't know where I'd be without them. Mark tried to reset the VMS remotely, but that didn't work. I unplugged the VMS with help from Mark and other threads with photos and instructions, and Viola. I will pull the logs and see what there is...

So, these are the messages I got today (note the battery voltage in the last photo). I last drove the Roadster a week ago. Is my first step to disconnect the VMS?

All things being equal... looks like a Signature series commands a $50 -100k premium (for now).

That's a huge disparity. I would not think that the "Signature" makes that big of a difference. At least the signature one that sold a few months ago (for $182k or $187k) had all the signature goodies... color eggs, interior swaths, etc.

I know these things are appreciating, but still amazed at the price for this (as you said) unremarkable example.

Quick question... Is the CAC that is listed under the Vehicle Info on my OVMS accurate? Right now I'm at 112.67 on my 2008 with about 63k miles... I'm assuming original pack. Standard charge nets me 135 miles. I've never pulled the logs. Thanks.

Saw a radiant red (just like mine) on Sunday here in Santa Barbara. It was driving south on Cabrillo Blvd. right by the volleyball courts... thought someone stole my car :)

Here's what I ended up doing... not sure I"m sold on it yet. But if not, easy enough to remove, just double sided tape. The daytime photos don't do the lights justice... they are actually very bright and noticeable. LMK know what you guys think. Henry

Thanks for your help Carl et al. If I tap into another wire, then I'll do it right by splicing into it and not using one of those piggyback plastic things. I'll post photos when done.

That's perfect... thanks Tex. You wouldn't happen to know the color of the wire, would you? The LEDs would barely draw anything, so the 7.5A fuse should be fine.

Does anyone know of where I can tap into a 12 volt source in the front of the Roadster? I'm considering adding a couple LED DRL, so I'm looking for a wire that would be energized when the ignition is on. Thanks, Henry
