I remember when my highlander/toyota had this issue, except software did not have brake over ride. There was no OTA back in the day, so they cut part of the pedal under the mat. It took them a while to recover and included free maintenance for a while

i think the 1st year curve is fine, given what we're seeing with people trading for about even (with incentives+credits) . I keep cars for a while so moot point and don't have state incentives

Yeah, I don't think they play games, but they are slaves to the algorithm compared to a traditional dealer. There, you can push back to save the deal. In your case, the tax credits really help the deal. I'd do a trade up every year if our state had a credit.

but lose the sales tax credit. At least here in AZ. BTW It did drop a ~$1K for my estimate to delivery for my Prius. I balked but no negotiation so I just unassigned VIN for now since no rush

My only concern is road trips with a two TSLA fam. I love my 3 SR around the city, but fam. likes to complain about SC for road trips with a ~190 mile range. Also If I had an old FUSC to transfer I would do it, by justifying free SC, but current SC pricing is almost close to gas in some states.
