Major Flaw - No Charge Port in Front (towing)

What is a mega charger? Are they along my route from the east coast of VA to the mountains of West Virginia??

Major Flaw - No Charge Port in Front (towing)

About once a month, I tow an 18' trailer (with 3 Polaris SxS's) up to the mountains of West Virginia. The Superchargers along my route do not have pull-through stalls (only back in). That means I would have to unhook my trailer at every SC so that I can "back into" the stall. I realize that...

    I'm guessing it's right here:

Major Flaw - No Charge Port in Front (towing)

The Cybertruck does not appear to have a charging port in the front. For those of us who pull trailers regularly, this is a problem. We need the ability to pull straight into a super charger stall (can't back in with trailer and reach the rear charging port). I am very disappointed.

Can any other car blow heat in the front while blowing AC in the back??

I just figured out that my Model X can blow hot heat in the front while blowing ice cold AC in the back (at the same time). I'm not aware of any other cars, besides Tesla, that can run both heat and AC at the same time like this. We love it! On the way to the gym every morning, my daughter...

    Wall charger install question

Once you pass through your hole in the floor, can't you offset the conduit back towards the wall? PVC conduit bends easily once heated. Of course I have heat blankets and heat guns for that specific purpose. As a home-owner, I'm guessing you don't have that. I've never tried it, but I would...

Considering Moving into new house. Can this panel handle a new 14-50 circuit?

Can you take the panel's trim cover off and take a picture? It would be nice to see if there are any bus fingers behind those two blank spaces at the top.

Hardwire a UMC cord into a non Tesla charger

I am completely confused as to what you are asking. But it sounds like you are trying to come up with a "jack leg" solution in lieu of installing the appropriate electrical infrastructure to support your new Tesla (i.e. a NEMA 14-50 receptacle fed from a 50A, 240V circuit).

    Tesla Service Scratch my car

Wow, that's very unfortunate! I had a similar experience, however, the service center came through and fixed the damage. When I dropped my Model X off at the Richmond VA service center, I asked the service adviser to inspect my car with me, and especially the rims. We both walked around the...

    Home Charging a Model S P100D

I am an electrician and I installed a 100A, 240V circuit to my Wall Connector. My Model X only has the 48A charger, but if I ever decide to purchase a second Tesla, I'll be covered (because two Wall Connectors can "load share" one 100A circuit). If you don't want to purchase a $500 Wall...

New Member, New Tesla, I'm an Electrical Contractor, Pics of Installs

Hello TMC. I just purchased a new Model X 100D two months ago in Richmond, VA. Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with this vehicle! Yes, it has its quirks, but thanks to this forum and this community, I knew that going into this. I've been following this forum for several months, and I have...

Extend Charge Cord with aJunction box?

Is it possible to move your EVSE closer to your charge port instead of cutting into a "factory" cable assembly? You would be voiding the UL listing as well as your warranty. Can the manufacturer provide a 25' cord?

    Wall Charger Install Questions

Which "wall charger" did you order? The Wall Connector (that gets hardwired), or the Wall Connector with Cord & Plug (that plugs into a NEMA 14-50 outlet)? If you ordered the hardwired Wall Connector, you should install a minimum of a 240V, 60A circuit. You can go larger to future-proof your...
