How are people applying enough force in NOA steering?

I have a rotary dial phone that I try to use at least once a year to see if I can still do it. (I'm surprised the system still works.) But touch tone came out in my youth.

How are people applying enough force in NOA steering?

I have just done a test drive, and that is one of the reasons I'm still on the fence and haven't bought it. I am comparing it to one of the new Chevy Bolts. In most ways the Tesla is tremendously superior, but I'm an old guy, and not sure about learning a whole new driving feel.

LR RWD to receive firmware upgrade to 325 miles...actual capacity bump??

Why does length of trip matter in electric cars? In gas vehicles, its because a lot of the initial fuel use gets the engine up to running temperature, if I am not mistaken.

    Potential buyer issue: What if?

Fair question, given the number of Tesla/Musk haters out there. Mostly it's what dethman says--now I care about what happens to Tesla. It's also that Teslas are so different from other cars--even other electrics like the Bolt and Leaf. It's hard for me to imagine that random auto mechanics will...

    Potential buyer issue: What if?

Thanks! The DeLorean example is one that suggests that I buy, regardless.

    Potential buyer issue: What if?

So, suppose I buy a new Tesla (Model 3, Long Range) and the company goes bankrupt? Has there been any talk that someone might come in and pick up the pieces and put the business back together? It would seem to me that--whether or not the company can continue building cars, there ought to be a...

Not sure which Tesla to buy

I think the most sensible advice here is to talk to the condo board. It seems to me that places like condos will find it in their interests to make charging available to residents. But you may have to do some convincing of them and the membership. It will help if you can find a few other...

    Access Denied on Cancellation Request

Thanks. Up until a day or two ago, I wouldn't have thought that would be an issue for me. But I was planning on getting a Long Range RWD, and now that seems to be disappearing. If the idea is that they will only make Long Range AWDs, and to get a RWD car you just have some software disabled...

Did I just get an INCREDIBLE deal? LR RWD with FSD = $43,840

For those of you who know of people who have been offered discounts like this--how and does it happen and when in the dealmaking process does it happen? Any other relevant details? Thanks

    Access Denied on Cancellation Request

BTW, are you willing to say why you wanted to cancel? I'm considering placing an order, and I'm considering input on both sides of the issue. Thanks.

    Test Drive of Model 3

On the regen: I've been used to the Prius, where it seemed to me that there was no regen braking unless you put on the brakes (or cruise control did for you). That was because it is more efficient to coast than to regenerate and have to use that energy quickly again.

    Test Drive of Model 3

Did a test drive of a model 3 today. Very good stuff, and some very weird stuff. So I have some questions about the weird stuff: When "Standard Regen" braking was on, it felt like the car was braking whenever I took my foot off the accelerator. What's going on there? I'm used to the Prius...

Considering buying Tesla 3 Long Range

Thanks all! For some reason (maybe cause I'm a newbie). can't find the LIKE button to click for folks. Just one more question (for now--I'm sure I will have more soon): Both my wife and I have knee problems. How is getting in and out of the car?

Considering buying Tesla 3 Long Range

Wow, that's interesting. Every car I've had till now (including my Prius hybrid) seemed like AC was a much bigger fuel consumer than the heater.

Considering buying Tesla 3 Long Range

Thanks! Ah, yes, that raises another question. The Tesla website says the wait for a car is only about two weeks. Can anyone tell me if that's real?

Considering buying Tesla 3 Long Range

Hi, all! I'm new here. I'm thinking of buying a Tesla 3, and I guess I would like to know anything that anyone wants to tell me on the subject--knowing that this is a group mostly of fans. Specially interesting questions: How much range can I realistically expect? I know that depends on all...
