For those of you curious how the card works and can be taken apart.

On the "Learn More..." page for the keyfobs there is a line that says "fobs with TESLA written on the flat part have passive entry, fobs with MODEL 3 on the flat part do not." Looks like it won't be an update kinda thing. I would look into a possible exchange too.

I'll be the one with the unpopular opinion and suggest the SR+ w/ FSD. I was in a similar place and decided to go this way and after 2 months and ~3,000 miles, including a 1,000+ mile road trip, I have no regrets. The smaller battery hasn't been an issue at all (daily driving or on the trip)...
