(Note this is a bit of a ramble)
I just sold my Tesla Model Y Performance (March build with all recent upgrades) in MSM and have a new fully loaded BMW iX50. Owned a Tesla Model X before as well. A few notes on the Model Y:
Tesla pros:
- Infotainment is leagues above the BMW.
- watch...
Well, the yellow tint just started happening to my 2019 March build Model X with HW3. I know there wasn't anything specific to HW3 models but it's supremely disappointed this still happens to a fairly new car.
Last night I got a software update notification and I am now on 2019.12.1.2. Looks like we are caught up with most of the latest changes with Sentry, Dashcam, new browser, on route battery warmup, stoplight warnings.
For the DashCam feature, it is currently disabled with HW3. My unit was delivered late in March with the updated hardware and as Elon Musk noted, there is a slight disadvantage with the new hardware until they can catch up the software. I guess it's simipar wot the AP1 -> AP2 transition for a...
I received HW3 in my Model X this past week and found out that the software has dashcam disabled for now. I guess I feel like the original AP2.0 owners that found some of their software capabilities gimped while they try to catch up.
Long story short, you aren’t missing anything right now. :)
My main test was with a SanDisk 128GB UltraFit with 130 MB/s write speed. I tried a more generic stick that I had around (16 GB slower USB 3.0) but it behaved similarly.
Well, I've been trying to get DashCam to work and can't get it to recognize my USB sticks formatted to FAT32. The DashCam icon simply doesn't appear on the status bar using firmware 2019.5.17. The car seeingly recognizes the drive as under TeslaCam there is a directory called RecentClips with...
I checked the online TeslaTap check for the MCU version and that didn’t change so no speed difference for web browsing and the like. Looks like only the autopilot hardware.
I posted this on the other thread but try this on the ev-cpo option code page:
Before delivery you will have a box called “View Spec” on your My Tesla page. Right click and copy the URL or hold down on the button (if on mobile) and copy the URL that way. From there you just paste the URL to the...
Mine said 2019.5.17. When I stopped at a red light earlier I didn’t notice anything pop up. The random vehicle position adjustments are still there too so it seems like that portion of the software hasn’t changed for me.
Before delivery, go to your Tesla page and there will be a box called “View Spec”. Copy the URL link that it uses to create the PDF and then go to :
https://www.ev-cpo.com/hunter/?lookup
And then paste it there. You will see the breakdown of your option codes. Note that once the vehicle is...
So, to my surprise when plugging in my Vehicle Spec into ev-cpo.com’s Tesla option decoder tool, I recieved this:
APH4 AP 3.0
Which is the new HW3.0 if I’m not mistaken!
For my 100D that was just finished manufacturing on Friday and was delivered today from the Fremont factory. So... I am not...
