Great news for garage tinkerers. Sand rails, Speed boats, Kit cars, Conversions and racing classes will all benefit from this kind of modular packaging.

Hope they spin off a (cheaper) retail line at SEMA. Personally think if they had a booth with a few kinds of vehicles there, some (amazing) performance specs, video and some touchables (motors, bat packs, PEMs) and they would have a lot of customers would want to drive quiet and clean buying drivetrains on the spot.

So they are doing packs of 18650s like Tesla? (Seems like they may based on the photo of the hand holding a cell)

Did they create their own pack safety and cooling systems, or license Tesla's technology?
