Are the PUP brakes made by Brembo?

Interesting, Brembos are usually made in Italy and that's been stamped on the ones on past performance vehicles that I've owned.

From what I understand, the ones from Mexico have been more of the ones for show and not really meant for performance. Probably why Tesla can easily afford to put them on their entire line up.

And Chevys are made in the USA. Some years ago I wanted an American made vehicle my z28 was Canadian my gsx was from Normal, IL.

Could Tesla afford it? In the red for years and now not but it would have been awhile longer if over sourcing, they do over engineer, their low end cars.
C
high end first, more profit, low end next but used as test mules for next gen high end.

Not true, the ones on my '18 Camaro are made in Italy.

if it was ‘for show’ why would they re-brand as ‘Tesla’? Would seem odd...

Not a rebrand, many manufacturers will put their logo on them instead. Both of my cars that I actual tracked had Brembos on them with either Corvette or ZL1 painted on.

And they are most definently for show if you read what I posted earlier. The Y and 3 will 99.99999% of the time use regenerative braking to slow the car. Therefore it's a known issue that the pads are not heat cycled enough and will rot out well before they go back. With an ICE car, the pads have to do all the work, but are still for show unless you are doing light track days. Once you get into anything serious, the factory Brembos are replaced anyways. I have yet to see a car where the tires don't over power the brakes when stopping and a Brembo kit will only help with fade from repeated stops from higher speeds due to more surface area, a more rigid caliper and probably an increase in brake fluid capacity.
