Three (3) 20 inch Performance Wheels in PRIME condition (no curb rash, no dings/dents, or even visible blemishes), with BRAND NEW, Transferable LIFETIME WARRANTIED Tires from Discount Tire - America’s Tire - 235 / 35 20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tesla Acoustic tires with brand new TPMs.

$907 each including shipping. $50 less if you pick up from my garage in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The TPMs will need to be taken to
Discount Tire - America’s Tire soon after the spare tire is put into use so that the sensors can begin to do their job. I’ve also heard that they just start working after so many miles, but I’d suggest having them programmed to begin their task.

You’ve heard of Performance drivers unknowingly hitting potholes or road debris, and getting a leak or a flat. With just 2 inches of rubber between the road and the wheel, its a known risk. What drivers learn after-the-fact,
however, is that the original 20 inch oem acoustic tires are hard to find. In many places you cannot find them, and the best that can be done is to put them on back order as you wait 5 days for them. And if your rim is jacked up you need to either get it repaired or back order that, too.

Me, I like piece of mind. I have two Model 3s. One is a dual motor with 18 inch aeros. I bought a Beemer space saver spare tire that is the same diameter as the aeros, and on trips it goes in the trunk.

I tried the Beemer space saver on my performance M3, and was surprised when the centering ring actually fit, but was dismayed when I spun the wheel to find that the inner wheel was scratching my red caliper in two locations. I could have shaved some of that caliper metal down, and it might have worked, but I decided against it because it was just too close of a margin, and I couldn’t imagine the catastrophe if I hit a rock or curb and bent the wheel/rim and what that would do to my caliper/rotor/suspension/drive linkage.

So I hunted and hunted the forum looking for some 20 inch Performance wheels. The ones I found were primo: no curb rash and without even a scratch. On inspection their only flaw was brake dust. So I bought them, wiped the brake dust off, and took them to Discount Tire, where they back ordered the tires, because the Michelin Tesla 20 inch acoustics are simply unavailable. It took more than a week, but they got the Tesla Acoustic Performance tires mounted and balanced to the rims.

And I’m offering 3 of these as I’m only keeping a single spare. On second thought, I might keep two. Regardless, I’m offering at least two of these prime spare tires so that you can have a spare that you know will fit your Performance Model 3 and that is warrantied for 30,000 miles including full repair/replacement, with a brand new tire and a brand new TPMS.

I can confirm, I had two bent rims and popped tires from hitting a abnormally large botts dot. Had to pay Tesla ~$1000 for each tire.

I hope you mean you also had to replace the wheels as well, which also is astronomical. The tires are only $240 each on TireRack. I have blown out 2 tires in pot holes on my Model S P100D with 21" wheels and had wheels repaired and replaced the tires for about $550 each, but wheels were repairable. The Model S Tires are also twice as expensive as the Model 3 P tires, I would expect to pay about $400 each for a new tire and repair of the wheel should I have the misfortune to blow a tire out on the Model 3P+ we have.

Tire Rack advertises the 20 inch Tesla acoustic for the M3 Performance for more than $330. Discount Tire advertises them for more than $340, but will do a price match. Many tire shops will try to replace with a non-acoustic tire (without the foam insert) for about $310 per tire. There is a version meant for the Ferrari that is 100% identical but-for the acoustic foam insert for this price. The $240 tires you speak of are probably the 18 inch aero tires.

The Tesla acoustic tires for the M3 Performance are scarce. Here in AZ they are only available by back order via shipping from California. I am certain of all of this because I’ve ordered/purchased 5 Tesla acoustic tires over the past 10 days, after doing a lot of online comparison shopping, speaking with four different tire shops, and doing an apples-to-apples comparison. I’m glad I bought the Discount Tire warranty for both my factory Tesla tires and for my 4 spares. If anyone would like one of my four spares I will part with one or
two for cost. They are on spotless stock 20 inch performance wheels I bought from another forum member, with lifetime transferable warranty 0-mile brand new 20 inch Michelin 4 S Sport Tesla Acoustic tires and brand new TPMs.
Cheers!
