I don't agree with the starting hypothesis of this article that Tesla has a fire related recall issue. NHTSA is inquiring and IMO it is very probable that NHTSA will clean Tesla for this matter.
Then what the article says is a fix of Tesla for this matter, being temporarily, is not a real fix but a precautionary action IMO. In fact soon the previous air suspension settings will be re-established.

Actually, they won't. The plan is that there will be a more user-configurable setting.
